At 12:40am I came to maccas with my younger brother. We ordered a meal with 3 items and an apple pie and left with nothing.
We waited in a line of 2 cars (including ours) for 5 minutes before the speaker. When at the speaker, the female employee took our order, was silent for at least 20 seconds and then retook the same order.
We then proceeded to wait about 10 minutes for the car in front of us to get their order. When we pulled up to the receiving window, the employee seemed extremely out of it. She kept slipping slowly on the floor. She took a paper bag, dropped it, crumpled it up and threw it at the wall. She stood around with her hands in her disgusting hair that was not tied up or covered by a hair net. She was constantly touching her face, getting goop out of her eyes and wiping her nose and mouth with her hands. It was absolutely revolting to see for a food handler.
She then opened a packet of ice cream cones, dropped them all on the bench and then stood there for a few minutes, gradually lowering her posture until she was in a still position, however still with her hands in her hair. I attempted to get her attention twice to see if she was okay, but she was completely unresponsive. Initially I thought she had been fatigued, but after observing all of this, I am fairly certain she was on some sort of drug.
I also caught a glimpse of one other person in the kitchen and another cleaning the dining area, apparently not taking any notice of the employee. After seeing all of this and waiting for so long, we left just after 1am, without our food and without our money.
Safe to say that this experience has completely turned me off of coming back to East McDonalds, and that says something considering I’ve been going there for the past 9 years.
Absolutely disgusting experience that is completely unacceptable for a hospitality...
Read moreArrived at 12:40 but was the only ones here with a relatively small order, we left after waiting for 20 mins without our food as the lady really seemed as though she was heavily influenced by drugs. When taking our order, she zoned out for 20 seconds and restarted taking our order twice, then as we were waiting to receive our food we watched her scrapping goop out of her eyes, scratching her face and wiping snot and spit from her face. All whilst running her hands through her hair and handling various products such as ice cream cones. She was slipping all over, with the her ending up leaning over the counter for an extended period of time while scratching, and when we tried to check to see if she was alright, she was unresponsive, in a “fent-like” stance, then walked away, sorry for the crudeness but that is the most accurate way to describe her actions. The hygiene was absolutely revolting and nobody should be allowed to work in those conditions contaminated everything!! So we left, after 20 minutes, with no food, down $20, no plans of ever coming backs as I will never look through that window and not this event. This has made me truly question the quality of the food here, and it’s McDonald’s, the standard are not high as it is. Please ensure this...
Read moreHonestly speaking, I eat here a bit more often than I would like but sometimes there just isn't enough time to cook dinner. It can really be hit or miss when it comes to the quality of the food here. Either you'll get very fresh food and be pretty happy or you'll end up with cold fries and stale burgers and be fairly upset. It's about a 50/50 in my experience which is terrible odds... They tend to either misunderstand orders in the drive through quite often and even mess up the order complety and give you the wrong food on occassion. About 70% of the time they will forget to throw in condiments that you ask for such as Sweet n Sour sauce or the like. I've gone plenty of nuggets with no sauce in my days. The staff is pretty friendly in most cases, they say their greetings and smile. But not really over the top customer service or anything. All in all I'd say its pretty average altogether and if I had the choice I would probably prefer to go elsewhere. But sometimes fast food is just the...
