It’s not often the first bite of the food tells you why this place deserves a 5 star review especially after of hundreds and hundreds of patrons, but this place - Thai Terrace did just that. The simplest of dishes are often the hardest coz everyone does them well, and how homey a pad Thai and a pad see ew is generally gives the restaurant away. And here, the Terrace Thai basically aced it and got a home run with the Tom yum. A good balance of flavour and texture and the acidity for the pad thai was just right. The Tom yum had sufficient heat and sourness that it wasn’t too westernised which I enjoyed. I was surprised it even had 3! Prawns in a small bowl of soup. Well done there. Oh I personally didn’t like the lava noodles too much but I’m gonna say it’s just personal preference. All in all the place is relatively pricy but I guess only by a couple of dollars and to that I’m ok. If you pay cash you even get 5% off so bring some $$$ with you when you visit.

As authentic Thai as you can get in the heart of Bathurat! My wife and I popped in to have our 14th Anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. The decor and ambiance took us back to our anniversary in Phuket, Koh Samui and Bangkok. The place is so inviting and the feel is just like when we were in Thailand. The food is so good, full of flavour and you can taste every spice, it's rich and amazing. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive, the wine list was good(a little too many Sauvignon Blanc, but hey that's what the market wants) I was really impressed with the price, we had 2 full meals & a bottle of wine and came out spending less than $100! That has never happened to us anywhere in Australia. The menu is awesome with plenty of gluten free options! We had the Spicy Eggplant with Chicken and the Samui Lighthouse Curry......unreal! We'll definitely be back to try more delicacies from the menu very soon.

A delightful setting in a 150 year old terrace with cosy indoor areas and an extremely atmospheric covered area outside where we were enveloped in the scent of jasmine. Of the two dishes we ordered, the Thai beef salad was the highlight, with interesting textures and flavours. The meat in our chilli basil stir fry was rather tough and the taste somewhat bland however. A simple meal accompanied by a Singha beer, with competent service in an environment of Christmas celebrations.

The Terrace Thai Bathurst:

Genuinely one of the best experiences at a Thai restaurant that I have ever had. I will cover each individual aspect of the restaurant later on, however I will briefly say that I cannot find any flaws in this restaurant.

Food: The food was beautiful, and even got me to enjoy prawns again. I highly recommend the Pad Thai and the battered prawns. The sauce accompanying the prawns is just perfect and anybody could enjoy. There isn't anything else to say about the food, just that it was great.

Environment/Atmosphere: The Terrace had a great atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating areas. Each seating area would have its own, suited "vibe", with the indoors being more quiet and had a tendency to be more formal, and the outdoors being talkative and bustling, but not too loud. They have a small park outside, which is great for family trips, and there are lots of small gems around the outside of the terrace, such as the small fountain and the bike.

Service: You could call a waiter from your table, and although the night of my dinner was busy, service was still up to standard.

Overall, an amazing Thai Restaurant. Come here if you're staying...

Been eating Pad see ew chicken since these guys opened. Reason is because it's so good here. Well today's $12.90 lunch saw me hunt through Rice vermicelli (not sen yai - the MAIN ingredient) to eat what little protein there was - a few slices of chicken, few pieces of kailan, and the expected egg that soaks up the soy sauce when fried in the wok. Apparently they ran out of flat noodles - shame they didn't tell me when I ordered, because this is the first time I've eaten there that has seen me not want to go back. No noodle toasting from the wok hei on those thin noodles (i imagine next to impossible which is why wide flat noodles are the staple for this dish).

Worst meal I have ever been served there. Waiter was nonchalant about the situation when he took away the plate of soggy rice vermicelli. So disappointing, i have only ever had glowing things to say about these guys. This was a total rip off at $12.90 for lunch. Shame too, because I understand the difficulty the industry has faced with COVID and I spend my money to support, but guys, I do expect to get what you advertise, and we're all...

Over Charge/ Ingredient left out We went to this resturant tonight, 26/2/19. I asked for a Green Curry with a combination of meats in the curry. The waitress took the order. When the bill came there was an additional charge for beef and pork that was cooked in the curry. When the order was taken NO MENTION of ANY extra charge for the combination of meats. I questioned the added charge and explained that I was not told that to have a combination would cost an extra $6.00. They smiled said have a good day but refused to reduce the bill. On the dish that my friend had there was supposed to be fried shrimp in the dish. When telling the staff that the shrimp had been left out she was told that the shrimp are very small so you may not have seen them. The dishonest over charge and no shrimp ment that what could have been a good meal was soured by the poor way of handling our complaint. We were first time guests, and due to the expeirience it will certainly be the last time we will go to this resturant. All money no care. Surcharge on the Credit Card also, but not mentioned on...
