A subpar Meal with a show.
First let me paint a picture, sleepy mining country town in a brisk winter evening. In a dull dark corner of the street to Chinese lamps illuminated the pavement. Upon entry we were met by an emotionless lady and she looked like the patience ran out 20 years ago.
She greeted us with the words “u booking for 11” and forced us to a table as though we were school children. One of the group was reading the lunch menu and the lady snatched it out of his hands and yelled “no lunch for you, only dinner”
We then proceeded to order and before we knew it we had to play menu bingo as half the stuff we asked for was not available, (no chicken wing, no fish, and not cashew)
After our order she then proceeded into the kitchen, and then it erupted. We were gonna call 000 as we thought there was some sort of violence (could be classed as domestic in nature not sure) it sounded like there were 12 people arguing in the back when there was only 2. We were sweating like cats in a Chinese restaurant.
The entrees came out suspiciously quickly she walked in with the order, had her blue, and came out with the entrees. unless they they were cooking when they were fighting we are not sure how this was possible. During this time a member of group had to stand up as he had a sore back. He needed to stretch it out. This seemed to frustrate the server when she said why you stand, why you no sit down. He said I have a sore back, she told him if you have sore back sit down.
Spring rolls tasted like they had been cooked 3 times. Ham and chicken rolls were doughy and bland. Prawn cocktail sauce tasted like the inside of a gun barrel. She asked why we weren’t eating it, and then accused us of wasting fresh prawns.
Mains were served and a member of the group asked for chopsticks, she said to him “no, too hard to eat with rice boy” he insisted and she said she was too busy. There was no one else in the restaurant. And we we starting to see why.
We continued on with our mains, the food wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great. She kept trying to take plates that had heaps of food back to the kitchen even though we asked to take it home. She was very keen to get it back there. (Taking recycling a bit too seriously I think).
It was a true eating with anxiety experience. It was so bad we found it hilarious. Which is why we scored the atmosphere so high.
The lady was hitting on one of the members in the group call him “big sexy boy, and asked if he had a girlfriend” she also tried putting this person in a relationship with another member of the table calling them “sexy boy and sexy girl” and “you two boyfriend girlfriend”
Then it was time to pay and we found out cash only and was sent across the road to the atm. Upon returning to pay we asked for a tax invoice as this was a work expense dinner. And all of the sudden she couldn’t remember her abn number. We then threatened not to pay if she couldn’t supply us an abn. Her memory quickly came back.
People pay good good money for an experience like this in the cities, I don’t think there is much of a market for this in west Wyalong. BUT if you go in there with an open mind, and an open heart the experience will be what you make it.

Read moreI've eaten a lot of trash in my life but the food at this joint was easily the worst I've ever had. I am actually impressed at how bad it was. I ordered a chicken and a beef dish and, fair enough, expected them to be two different meats. Apparently i was too naive. They use the same meat for both. Neither chicken nor beef, but some weird mushy imitation that I'm not even sure actually came from a real animal. Or from Earth for that matter. Whatever maverick genius chef it is that works in that kitchen simply marinates this extraterrestrial mush in different food colouring depending on what it's supposed to be imitating. I almost have to admire the big brass balls it takes to do something like that and then serve it to an actual customer. And i do not exagerate when i say this stuff is pretty near inedible. I did eat my whole meal out of some perverse sense of duty to never leave a plate unfinished, but it really might go down as one of my life's greatest regrets. Suffice to say, I do not recommend...
Read moreWorst nightmare experience i ever have in my hospitality life. If the rate can go minus i would go ahead with it. Walk in with family from the long drive expected to get some food n go back to bed before another long drive next day. I have a young kid and elderly people with me. Asking for the highchair for children. The waitress point at the chair and expected me to help myself. After sit down i start order a few thing n found out most of items is not available (not sure why they put them on the menu). At the end design to leave as the waitress seem to not understand what i try to communicate with her. She accused me for making a mass on the table (which i just move a few thing out of kid hand as it was danger). She said i can't leave as the food is already start cooking (how would that possible when the order still in her hand). I just leave because to afraid that what they will put in my plate after that argument. Pls don't come here go somewhere else. The...
