On arrival I was checked in, in the bar and quickly in my room. When I saw the old staircase and old carpet, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Royal Hotel is in the middle of the main street and there's ample parking out front. ||My room was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable and had good linen. The room had high ceilings with beautiful, pressed metal. The bathroom was accessed via a short private corridor, which also gave me access to the back balcony. The bathroom was modern and spacious, but unfortunately, I could smell sewerage (hopefully this problem has been rectified as I messaged them about it). The front balcony is a lovely place to sit overlooking the main street. ||I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, accessed through the beautiful historic bar. The restaurant features beautiful, pressed metal ceilings and crystal chandeliers. The meal was tasty, well priced and the service excellent.||If you are after a little old world charm and nice rooms, The Royal...

Had dinner on a Saturday night, 2 adults, 2 teens. A bit of a mixed bag for us: the Caesar salad was really generous with the bacon and added Halloumi, but there wasn't any sign of Caesar dressing... It was mayonnaise instead. Fish and chips was fine, decent serving size as well. The nachos were good, but the Parma was a big miss. "The saddest Parma I've ever seen" according to my wife: very thin, dry and chewy, with burnt edges. Barely edible to be honest, but the two sides you get with it were (again) generous. I would give 3.5 for the food, but the lack of music (or any atmosphere at all) in the dining area brings it down to 3. The front bar was very enticing though: old fashioned theme with an Irish touch,. Roaring fires made it feels very cosy.... It's just a shame the dining area doesn't have...

We stayed as a family group in a king room, queen room and a single room, for one night in January. ||The king room and queen room were really nice. They had everything you could want and were clean and comfortable. We liked the decor, the air conditioning, the nice bathrooms and the convenient little touches like the pod coffee machine, toaster and small fridge that helped make our trip easy and enjoyable. ||The single room had a shared bathroom, and was small and basic but clean. ||We had dinner downstairs in the restaurant with a group of about 20. All the meals were great. ||The hotel was in a great central location on the main street. Across the road to the rear was the grocery store, and there were at least 3 parks/ playgrounds that we found within 5 mins walk.||We enjoyed our...

This was an interesting experience, which started a little on the back foot. The parma came out luke warm, with cold vegies. Initially I thoughr it is a conundrum how to review this. They replaced the meal, so which do I review? As far as I am concerned, Wendy genuinely was concerned about the first meal and appreciated honest feed back. Thus, a really thick and juicy parma with hot and crisp chips and hot vegies gets a 4.5 out of 5. The beer selection is mainstream, but included Carlton Black. That was an added bonus. The ambience is that of a traditional aussie pub, and is very popular with the locals (even a Monday was consistently busy). So would I go back? Yes! Should you consider it? Yes!

If you're looking for a great place to have a beer or a meal while in West Wyalong, this a the place! They serve breakfast every weekend, $5 beers ( mates rates) every day from 4-6pm ๐Ÿ˜ and their weekly specials at great. We were in WW for 4 days so sampled quite a few of the options. See some of the options photographed. The Sunday 2 course roast is a good choice paired with apple pie and ice-cream, but the cheesecake with forrest berries was hands down our favourite. I should have taken photos ๐Ÿ™„ because not only did it look amazing but tasted delicious. The girls serving behind the bar are friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back again!

Nice pub, we went with a group of about 10 and didn't order till around 715, food took around an hr to come out and the pub was super busy. Staff where really friendly and even were bringing out beers for us to the table. I had a session steak with veg and salad it was $38. Over all very well cooked, asked for rare, it was rare unlike other pubs that tend to cook rare in the medium side. Veggies were cooked perfectly with some good char on them. Salad was dressed well and large as well. Definitely will be back! Some other lads had snitties and parmies and they were impressed too. The lamb rack as also a standout!
