I work as an Uber driver in my spare time while managing a full-time job elsewhere. On Sunday, December 15th, 2024, I had a delivery to pick up from this restaurant. When I arrived, they asked me to wait as the order was still being prepared. It seemed busy, so I waited for about 15 minutes before receiving the order, which I then delivered.
Later, I got another delivery to pick up from the same restaurant. This time, I had to wait for over 20 minutes as the food was being prepared. Once ready, they handed me the bag, and I delivered the order.
For the third delivery from the same place, I went back and was told that I had missed picking up a drink with the previous order. I explained that they never informed me the drink was kept separately (not in the bag). As an Uber driver, I rely on the restaurant staff to communicate what's part of the order because I can't open the bag to check. They claimed they had informed me, but I honestly wasnât told. I didnât argue further because, for me, delivering the order to the customer was more important than engaging in unnecessary back-and-forth.
I do acknowledge they tried to contact me about the issue, but due to a technical problem, I didnât receive the message in time.
Iâm sharing this review as an Uber driver, not as a customer. The restaurant was clearly busy, and many people were enjoying their breakfast, so Iâm sure the food is good. However, for Uber drivers, the pick-up experience wasnât worth the long wait time.
I hope my experience helps improve the process for everyone...

However, these two Indian ladies this morning has a very bad attitude and needs more training in customer service.
I dropped by to grab a takeaway coffee this morning and they donât seem to bother to acknowledge that I am standing there in the counter in front of them for about half a minute as they were doing their thing (not busy, one lady making coffeee and the other one just pretending to be busy perhaps). That is very bad behaviour as a front line staff or in customer service. Unless they are being racist as I am Asian and they treated me like that just ignoring and did not even say good morning even though I did. She just ask directly whatâs my order when she finally attended me. Very disappointing for a place we always love to go.
No matter how busy you must acknowledge the person or customer in front of you. Unlike the teenagers they at least say Hi or Hello before taking orders. But these two Indian ladies early morning their face and attitude looks so miserable already. They should not be there and took off if they cannot bring their smile or enthusiasm at work.
Everyone has issues and problems in life but you can set that aside while at work. Otherwise, seek help if you...
Read moreOrdered via UberEats for Fathers Day brunch at home because I hosted a 5 y/oâs party yesterday and am exhausted. Thought it would be nice for the children to have the pancakes and they looked like they would be appetising enough with fresh strawberry. I ordered the eggs benedict for my husband and I, and whilst the rosti was soggy and there was the smallest barely negligible amount of hollaindaise, at least the eggs and bacon were cooked well.
The pancakes, however... the menu item description is not what we received. Nor were the order notes followed, which meant my children did not even want to eat the overpriced, small pancakes we received.
The description on UberEats... âburnt banana, maple syrup, fresh strawberry, almond biscotti, crushed pistachioâ. We asked for no banana; we get banana. Instead of âfresh strawberryâ; we got globs of a funky tasting jam. Instead of biscotti; we got a few flaked almonds. Instead of crushed pistachio; we got a smattering of hundreds and thousands with the tiniest flecks of green that I couldnât be sure were...
