Basil & Mint Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Western Australia

Heard so much about this restaurant and couldn't wait to try it out. What a big disappointment. Service was terrible. We were seated and given a menu but waited about 10 minutes for any service, despite catching a wait persons attention and asking if we could order - we waited another 10 minutes before anyone came to the table. My matcha bubble tea was brown instead of green and tasted terrible, the black pearls were warm and gluggy. The san chow bow and rice paper rolls were delicious but it went down hill from there ! I chose a stirfry with prawns and a cashew nut sauce. The food was cold, the sauce was nothing more than a thin broth that tasted like stock and the prawns tasted of ammonia! If the rest of the dish was tasty i would have eaten around the prawns but it was bland and tasteless. I decided to send it back and although reluctant to order another dish i decided on the crispy crepe with chicken. Well it was dry alms tastless. My partner ordered one of their signature bowls and it too was ice cold and very bland. A great disappointment all around and a place we will never...

Sadly our experience was very poor and this restaurant has a lot to learn about how to handle its mistakes.

We ordered delivery order around 5:30pm and were told it would be about 25mins. After 1hr we called to query if there was a delay, to which we were told (after they contacted the delivery driver) that the order had been delivered, and they would send a photo to confirm.

We received a photo and it had been left in front of a letterbox, but not ours nor any home nearby or neighboring streets.

We requested they make the order again and that we would collect it this time (by now about 1:40min has passed), when on this call they advised they would refund the order for the inconvenience.

When we went to collect they refused to refund the order and the delivery fee, despite agreeing to it on the phone, we had to stand our ground that we’ve come to collect it after their mistakes, they refunded our delivery fee and offered us a can of coke for the mistake. Hardly the customer service response I think is acceptable in these circumstances, so we’ll take our business...

We drive a long way from Rockingham and it worths the travel every time.

I have a condition of food sensitivity, chronic migraines so I am very cautious when it comes to eating out. At Basil & Mint restaurant not only I feel safe but have tried various of dishes and all are sensational.

The owner Peter is the main chef and takes great passion in creating his own unique ingredients, taste, food safe, variety and best of all there's choice of MSG- free dishes.

My favourite are the home made Stuff chicken Wings serves with fresh salad, pickle carrot and special " nuoc cham", best I ve ever eaten, an authentic version.

Roast duck is to dye for, a must try if you are a fan.

Besides amazing food the customer service is outstanding, switched on friendly staff and the owners( Peter and gorgeous Kelie) hospitality making you fall in love over and over.
