I don’t consider myself a steady customer, but I do consider myself a loyal one as Aussie Pizza and Kebab do make excellent pizza’s and I have been ordered from them since 2017.
However, yesterday I experienced something bizarre that has left a bad taste in my mouth (and not due to the food). I ordered in the evening via Menulog and within an acceptable time the delivery driver arrived. After a few minutes digging around the back of his car he gave me my order. When I went inside and checked I realised it was wrong and I went outside to speak to the driver, but he had already departed.
I contacted the store but could not get through as they were obviously busy. So I waited 15-minutes in case the driver had realised their mistake and came back. He did not and with my niece and I hungry and the pizza’s getting cold we starting eating.
8-10 minutes later the driver reappeared, admitted his mistake, and asked for exchange the original pizzas with my order as the other customer wanted what they had paid for. We admitted we had waited and contacted the store but after neither proved successful we started eating the pizzas we received as they were getting cold.
After a little bit of back-and-forth with the driver very hesitate to realise he had made a mistake and taking ownership of that fact he made me speak to the store manager (I assume). He was not willing to compromise and in the end, the close out the situation and actually have my dinner I paid for the other customer to receive fresh pizzas.
So, in the end, I ate cold pizza as my original order had well and truly cooled down, paid an extra $40 for the other customer to get fresh, hot pizza and generally felt I had, had to pay for the mistakes of others.
I know mistakes happen, I know that the drivers working for Menulog are on a basic income, but a mistake is a mistake and if you are uncontactable in order for me to assist you in rectifying it, then why am I solely responsible. Good customer service would have been for the store AND the driver to go halves in preparing fresh orders for both customers rather than expecting one customer to dig you out of the hole you dug for yourself.
So, on that note Aussie Pizza and Kebab, I know it won’t make any difference, but I won’t be back. I’ll spend my money...

After the long wait, owner gave me a large size pizza, not the family size. I told the owner that I asked and paid for a family size! He then refunded me the price difference between large and family size, saying that he could not make a new fresh one cause they were too busy. Not an apology nor a single smile from the owner. Mate, if you have no pride on your job, go ahead and change your life, don't be miserable and don't provide such a poor service. And the worst thing is that pizza does not taste much different from dominos one. Not recommended at all.
