My partner took me here because his family friend recommended this place. I was extremely hungry as I did not eat much the whole day. We decided to have brunch here and realised it was close to his place.
We wanted to try almost everything in the menu, but we ended up getting:
Triple Boston Burger Single Aussie Bushranger Sweet Potato Wedges (had to order extra sour cream and sweet chilli sauce) Loaded Fries and 2x Root Beer Colas (It was in a brown beer-like bottle; completely forgot the name of the brand, but it was made in New York)
The lady who served us was quite nice, and we were their first customers for the day (Sunday; they opened at 11:30). We also wanted to dine in.
She said the food will take about 10 - 15 minutes. I thought the food took a little bit longer, but that wasn't a problem because the extra wait wasn't extremely long.
When our buzzer rang, my partner went inside and grabbed a Menulog bag. I was a bit confused since we did ask for it to be dine in, and I think they only had room for two tables outside. However, we realised that perhaps it was because of the COVID-19 regulations. It was easier for us to take it away as well should we not finish our meal :) Good choice, Boston Burgers!
ON TO THE FOOD...
My... God... the burgers were HUGE!! I looked at my partner's burger and the rest of the stuff we have. They all looked freaking delicious, and the serving was quite generous.
Review for Loaded Fries: They were delicious! They had some sort of melted/liquid cheese on the fries, with some aioli/garlic mayo, chopped leeks, and had crispy bacon on them. The amount of sauces were reasonable, but I wish there was a lot more bacon. I've had places that really loaded their fries with bacon (to a reasonable degree, of course), and I wish there were more sauces. However, the food was delicious!
Sweet Potato wedges: they looked more like fries than wedges. I'm not a big fan of sweet potato, but that's what my partner wanted to try - so I acquiesced. I'm so glad we went for that because it was delicious as well! It's just the perfect amount of sweet and seasonings on them. He was also really glad that I ordered the sour cream and sweet chilli because they were a GREAT combination! The other wedges in the menu already include the sauces, but somehow the sweet potato one doesn't. I highly recommend you get the sauces with it! This is coming from someone who doesn't like potato that much :)
Now... reviews for the huge burgers:
I'll start with mine since it's what I ate; Aussie Bushranger (- Beetroot).
The patties we had were not the usual thick shaped patties that I was used to, but by God it tastes better. It was really a pounded patty, slimmer than the angus patties you see in HJ's or Maccas. BUT, that was actually a good thing. I didn't realise I prefer patties with crispiness on the side and as you eat further into the burger, you can taste the juicy minced meat. The bun they used seem like a Brioche bun because the dough inside was yellow - and a little sweet. I really really like this burger!
I ate the whole thing, and I felt like I needed a gurney (not a wheelchair as it would be insufficient) to get back to the Bakkie. I told my partner that I want to come back here, and we both agreed.
I think this would be the kind of place you really PIG OUT, not your usual Sunday small brunch kind of place. Not that you can't, but if you're coming here, I think the food is so good, you might as well go all out! hahaha!
Triple Boston Burger Review:
As I did not eat this, I can only go with what my partner said. DELICIOUS!!! He really liked this one. He ate the whole thing and ate more fries than I did.
AFTERMATH:
It's already the next day; Monday, and we still feel the meat inside our stomachs - take that as a joke if you will :D We had to skip dinner, and we felt like we could skip breakfast, too! hahahah
CONCLUSION: FREAK... YES... I want to be taken here as much as possible. Heck, if we came here on Valentine's Day, I would be just as happy! Forget the fancy restaurants!...
Read moreWe ordered with Menulog, after waiting nearly an hour and a half, we called the restaurant. An employee told us they were running behind but that she had given our order to the driver about 10 minutes ago. 5 minutes later we get a call from the driver saying they had just gotten to the restaurant and our order had been given to someone else. He passed his phone to the same employee who swore to us that she checked the order number with the driver and that this driver somehow had the same order number, that it had never happened before so she had no idea what went wrong. Didn’t offer any solutions, and just expected us to sort out a refund for ourselves. We were later contacted by Menulog to tell us that they have had the same issue with this place several times and that the order number doubling up is literally impossible. So the employee flat out lied to us instead of admitting her mistake of not checking the order number. Two hours later and we’re left with no food and are so angry and...

Just had a Tonto.
Oh my OMG, amazing!
And so big.
I'd love to try a Tonto, but with beef instead of chicken.
One of the finest burgers I've had in months (and if you see my recent review of KRB, you'll know I've known serious disappointment in my life).
Still the best burgers in town...
THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
Took my parents here tonight with the family, hoping to have a special night out, and we were not disappointed.
Great food, tremendous service, lovely place to sit and eat.
And the food came out hot and quick.
We had burgers (beef and chicken, both brilliant), fries, nuggets and chips and tried several different sodas (in glass bottles, no less), and everything was top notch.
Thoroughly recommend it, and will be coming back.
PS. Pro-tip - if you want to get a seat, go early.
We had the restaurant to ourselves (excepting the steady stream of Ubereats and Menulog dudes) at 530, but driving by at 730, it was standing...
