First of all, I know you will respond to my complaint with a immature and unprofessional attitude as you can see by your responses to the other unsatisfied customers. Second, why do you take phone orders? The purpose of this is so people don't have to wait for their order. I placed a 50 dollar order, was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes, left and got there on time hoping to just pick up my order as I had a brutally busy day at work and was extremely tired. Discovered that they do not cook your order until you pay at the till, read a sign saying so. I don't mind my fish and chips in the baine Marie for a few minutes, opposed to standing around for over 30 minutes. My unattainable fish and chips sat in the baine Marie anyway after I waited for 30 minutes to be told that there was no mars bars and I can swap with a banana or pineapple (half the price of Mars bars)once my order was cooked that I waited 30 minutes for. Now I had to wait more time on top of what I waited for and my order was put in baine Marie. Owner lady had a poor attitude, giving customers evil looks. I accepted all of this, however unhapppy, I was polite.....until I drove 10 minutes home and found that most of my order was missing. Called swannies to inform them and was met with attitude. I'm an easy going person who understands that no one is perfect but this experience with this fish and chip shop was ridiculous. I have never experienced such a bad experience from a business. Read moreI called at 6pm tonight for a takeaway and requested the chips wrapped separately as I have a GF diet at home and didn't want any batter from my other things to contaminate the chips as the allergens risk They said 10 minutes be ready I arrived 10 minutes later and paid for my takeaway just asked after payment went through how long it was going to be? the young lady said she would check and came back and said not to long, I thanked her and sat down and waited Then I heard the owner say order for the difficult customer, saying what I ordered out loud, I was shocked, how rude, unprofessional, I felt humiliated in front of other customers, I walked up to her at the counter and requested my chips wrapped separately as I do have a gluten free diet at home, I did say last time I was in I asked if the chicken salt was gluten free and she didn't know and was rude then, so twice now been in there and she was rude to me. Read moreUpdating my review again. I called at 5.45 to order a seafood combination. In my eyes the purpose of calling ahead is so you don't wait at the shop 30 minutes for it to be cooked. While I understand the shops desire to want everyone's meal to be fresh when they receive it, that is not what I cared about as the customer. I wanted to get there, pay and pick it up and leave. It's now 7pm and still no food and I got here to collect at 6.30pm. If you want to start the order when your customer arrives, don't offer phone orders. It defeats the purpose.
