We booked a table for 6pm. Our orders were taken fairly promptly but from then on things took a down turn!! Our starters - 3 orders for onion bhajis, so not complicated, took more than 45 minutes. Two further starters arrived at least 10 minutes later! Things got drastically worse. We waited for over an hour before complaining about the unacceptable length of time we were kept waiting for our main courses. No one came to offer apologies nor to ask whether we wanted more drinks. Furthermore the dirty plates and empty glasses were left on the table until we asked for them to be cleared! The food was not as hot as it should have been and the naan bread had to be sent back as it was cold. After we complained the order came at different intervals, and the last dish came when the rest of us had nearly finished. Importantly we saw at least ten people leave without their meals being served which obviously means we are not alone in being so dissatisfied. At least we did get a meal!! So from booking a table at 6pm, complaining after a long and unacceptable wait, it took until 7.45 to be served. We will not be returning nor I’m sure will the other unfortunate diners. Finally we had to wait a further ten minutes for the bill to be worked out which was actually correct!! There was no suggestion of taking anything off the bill for the bad service and no Senior Manager came...

Terrible, had made a booking for 7:15pm not overly busy on arrival to be completely ignored and left our table unattended till 7:30pm which was when I took it upon myself and went to the counter and requested menus and glass for wine (which I was advised was BYO but not beers as I had phoned ahead to confirm). When staff attended and bought glass and beer for partner we had noticed that guests on table had a different beer we asked what it was to be told that they had bought their own! Needless to say, we persisted as Cardamom had read such great reviews. Another couple had arrived after us and were delivered menus and a jug of water straight up and made to feel welcome. Ordered takeaway for delivery from The Cardamom Club this evening & can honestly say this was "Simply the Best" Indian meal we've ever had in Rockingham! Potato Cauliflower, never tried this before, but glad we did. Chicken Madras, Chicken Jalfrezi, both packed with flavour & loads of chicken. Saffron Rice, Cheese Naan & Tandoori Roti. All delicious 😋 Delivery made within 30mins, everything nice & hot. Excellent food, excellent value for money...very generous servings, great service. We'll be back Cardamom Club. Extremely satisfied new customers...
