As a big Lebanese fan I was excited about the prospects of a good Mediterranean feed. Unfortunately, this fell far short of expectations. The positive point is that it was rather inexpensive (for eating out) with good options for sharing and variety plates, we had two share plates so we got lots of options. However, this was a classic case of cost = quality, you get what you pay for. The meat skewers (lamb, chicken, beef) were not very juicy, save the beef; the bread was unimpressive. Rice was good, dips and tabouli were average, but the Fatouch salad was the standout of the bunch and quite tasty. Staff was friendly and the personable supervisor came out several times exchanging banter and checking how we were. Lots of potential for this place; I think improving the meat quality would go a long way.

I liked the ramandan buffet, I especially liked the beef brisket. However, the food weren’t refilled like I was told, my reservation time was kind of late but I had been assured that there’ll be refills throughout the night. My friend and I’s seat was put in the way of a walking path so people kept bumping me as I ate, the food ran out quickly and there weren’t refills, we just had one plate of food. The restaurant was rowdy, I couldn’t hear my friend speak to me most of the time. Aside from that, the food was delicious, I would come back again if we could get better seats and the food was actually refilled.

Ordered a mansaf chicken and a sfiha. Never had either of them so decided to be adventurous. Both didn't disappoint. The rice for the mansaf was cooked just right, maybe a tad on the soft side, but still good. It's dusted with some spice powder, I believe it's cinnamon. The chicken is a little bit on the dry side but it's good with the cucumber yoghurt dip that comes with it. The sfiha is nice and crispy and the minced meat filling is tasty and juicy. The pickles that came with it are quite strongly flavoured, one is quite acidic whereas the other one was a little salty.

Went back on 6th of August after 1 year, Yes you read that right and Was very disappointed AGAIN‼️I took my old man there to have a taste of what labanease food supposed to be Yet Same problem as last year🤦🏻‍♂️ therefore won't return again!! Looks of the Food Can be deceiving!!! We ordered Cedar Cafe's Famous Chicken Tawook with Rice & Garlic Sauce & I tell you it looks Great But was Very Salty as if the chicken pieces were soaked in salt water and stuffed in oil as it was also very oily to try and hide the salt probably used as a preservative to keep the chicken pieces stored‼️WHY MAN WHY SO MUCH SALT TOO MUCH SALT IS NOT GOOD FOR HEART & BLOOD PRESSURE‼️ Same story as for the rice VERY OILY & SALTY pair it with the EXTRA SALTY GARLIC DIP on the side and a very Bland Lettuce mix Salad & top it up with a few thick of More Salty Pickled Purple Turnips the whole dish without a doubt exceeded normal salt level's Very difficult to taste the famous blend of spices of what an authentic labenese dish supposed to be all we could taste was Salt & Saltier ultimately food this Salty is very unhealthy especially for the elderly, people with high blood pressure, heart problems‼️ I thought after 1 year things change but I was disappointingly wrong after ordering 2 dishes of the above...

I ordered Scallops & Clam pasta through uberEats. but when I opened up the box, it didn't look like scallps & clam pasta at all and when i saw the receipt that came with the delivery, it says "Spaghetti Bologne".

First of all, the 2 dishes are not the same price, the seafood being the more expensive one and I was charged at that price because on uberEats that's what I had selected.

Secondly, the delivery person, processed the payment BEFORE i even got the food from her - I was only coming down the elevator (uberEats customers will know what I'm talking about).

Thirdly and the crux of the story: I phoned Cedar Cafe telling them the order was wrong. They checked it and confirmed that it was wrong, claiming that "there's something wrong with the printing machine"... very creative ha ha.

Now according to google, its distance is 1.7km from where I live. So I offered a solution: give me my scallps & clam pasta to swap for that wrong spaghetti bologne since I haven't touched it at all. Their reply: but you must come and fetch it.

Seriously, if I could "come and fetch it" would I have ordered through uberEats and paid for that extra delivery fee???? Yes I have already sent in a ticket to uberEats regarding this matter and since it's a freedom of speech, I am also writing...

Went there today with a large group of 10 adults, 8 kids and 2 babies for lunch. We've been here previously so knew what to order from their menu.

Today however, was a big disappointment. We ordered two of the mansaf lamb dishes and it came out completely opposite to how we've always had it - overcooked, extremely dry and flavourless. It tasted as dry as tuna!

The drinks on the other hand was something else. Ordered various juices and chocolate milkshakes for the kids and adults. Took them over an hour to bring them out and when questioned earlier, was told they had run out of icecream and was popping into the shop next door. Cool. Could have communicated this to us instead of the long unnecessary delays especially being a hot day 🥵 meanwhile, still waiting for the fresh juices to be made for the adults 😑 as could see other patrons arriving later had already gotten both their meals + drinks (juice) without any issues.

The male server could have also improved his service and mannerism by at least speaking English instead of whatever it was he was trying to mumble 🤷🏽‍♀️

The only saving grace was their hot chips.

Needless to say, we won't be coming back if this is what a Sunday...
