I wish I could explain how agitated I am right now. I hardly post bad reviews and always let go of tiny things but this Flaming Karachi restaurant has proved that they know zero about basic manners and customer service. I am their very loyal and regular customer so no point posting here without genuine issues.
I literally have a migraine as I type this because it's so late at night. I was hungry and ordered a Biryani from them. After a long wait, I saw the driver calling me. When we spoke, he told that the restaurant isn't giving him the order because it has been picked by some other driver.
Alright! Understandable. It's a normal happening and we should be flexible as glitches can always happen. Maybe it was an issue with the app, maybe the driver stole my food, maybe some other technical reason. Could be anything.
I spoke with the restaurant reception and very politely told them that I understand this can happen and they can make me a another box of Biryani to which they plain refused. Not just refused but the lady was not even ready to let their customer speak. A non-stop one way noise having nothing but arguments telling that they will not make another box. I explained around 4-5 times that even if such things happen, it's always a restaurant's duty and part of basic manners to take care of their customers and remake an order for them.
Often times we would see this happening in many restaurants, where there would be mishaps but the management would quickly understand and in fact try to make it up for the customer.
But no! Here we are! Dealing with men of steel.
These guys have shocked me and left me in lots of disgust.
Running a business myself, I know how the whole system tells us that the benefit of doubt is always given to the customer. It takes a few minutes to make another box of Biryani that costs $20 but no! These people would choose to throw all the long arguments won't budge. I finally hung up on them.
I am very agitated. Even the consumer law tells us that the onus of mishaps is on the business. Whenever anything goes wrong in my business, I take the onus and make it up for the client.
It's 11:07 pm and I am writing this. These guys need to learn ABC of...
Read moreWe visited during peak hours and were met with one of the rudest welcomes we’ve ever experienced. The woman at the front was completely lacking in basic hospitality—cold, dismissive, and borderline rude. We were told there were no tables, despite seeing space available, and were given confusing excuses like “someone from outside is coming.”
When we placed our order, we asked for butter chicken with a bit of spice but were flatly told, “butter chicken is always mild.” No effort to accommodate or even speak politely—it felt like she was making up her own rules on the spot. We couldn’t even enjoy it and ended up leaving the dish untouched.
Despite BYO being printed on the menu, we were told it’s not allowed—meanwhile, other tables were clearly drinking. If you can’t manage a drinking license properly, maybe don’t advertise it. Also, during the busiest time, they didn’t have anyone to make naan? That’s basic service in an Indian restaurant.
It seemed like the focus was more on clearing the outdoor area than actually serving customers. If the outdoor space is such a burden, just close it permanently so staff can focus on doing their job properly.
To be fair, the Koyla Goat was genuinely good, but the rest of the food was just average. Overall, the service and experience left such a bad taste that it overshadowed anything positive. We won’t...
Read moreWould highly recommend not to order from here. I would rather pay a bit more money for better tasting Indian cuisine. Food did not have a good flavour at all. I was told my order would take 20 minutes, I went in after 25 and they definitely forgot to make my order in the kitchen because I saw the panic in the two front desk lady’s faces and I know that they only placed my order as I went in the second time. I also received the wrong food. Food was requested to be mild and everything was extremely spicy so inedible for some family members and the only thing I got when I called to let them know was ‘sorry we were really busy all I can offer you is sorry’. I didn’t expect free food but I expected to be given the correct dishes at the very least after calling them to let them know of the mistake. How disappointing! Their Butter chicken tastes horrible, stingey on the serving, all sauce and not much meat. The paneer dish was also not very greatly tasteful. The chicken biriyani was one of the worst I’ve ever had in perth. Do...
