This is a restaurant my wife and I wanted to visit for a long period of time. The occasion to sample their food came last Saturday and we were looking forward to the evening. When we arrived at 6.30pm, we were taken to a corner of the restaurant close to the shopping centre toilets but divided by a cafe plastic blind but didn’t mind this as we were looking forward to a great culinary experience. Unfortunately our expectation of a great Italian meal wasn’t going to be met. We ordered our wine then the waitress who was very pleasant and knowledgeable took our order, a plate of whiting we were told were fresh and crumbed on the premise, for my wife and a mushroom pizza for myself. Within a minute of our order came the pizza and shortly after the whiting dish. The pizza resembled a floppy pancake, soggy with 5 or 6 tinned uncooked mushrooms plonked on top. The whitings didn’t fare any better, they looked like the frozen fish you see at supermarkets , thick crumb with thin tasteless fish in the middle. Needless to say, we did’t stay long, our visit lasted 25 min, the shortest outing we’ve had. We usually don’t write reviews and like to support local businesses but this time we feel compelled to share our feedback so patrons know...

Absolutely incredible. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place because it is seriously the best Italian I’ve ever had. Had the yummiest glass of moscato I’ve ever drank to start then had the calzone which was out in less than 5 minutes of ordering. You taste everything is made with the freshest realest ingredients, you could really taste each individual one. Had the half Bianca pizza as an entree and I didn’t know you could even make something so simple so delicious I can’t even put my finger on what it was it was just extremely well done. Lastly the pizza omg the pizza, there’s a reason they offer masterclasses for their pizza, again just absolutely perfect just so fresh and tasty couldn't fault it at all. Not to mention the staff are so friendly and personable, all of them smiling and so well presented and waited on us hand and foot could not ask for anymore than that. First time we’ve been but most certainly won’t...

Eccolo is an absolute gem! From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We didn’t hace booking buy they found a table for us even when it was packed! We kicked things off with the vegetarian arancini, which were crispy on the outside, perfectly creamy inside, and full of flavor. For mains, we had the Rustica and the Perugina – both were absolutely delicious and packed with authentic, rich flavors.

The atmosphere is Incredible. Cozy, welcoming, and full of great vibes. And the service? Easily one of the best we’ve had! Huge shoutout to our lovely waitress – the Colombian girl (so sorry we didn’t catch your name!) – you made us feel so at home, and we truly appreciate it.

If you’re thinking about going, don’t even hesitate – just GO! You won’t regret it. Can’t wait...

Great local Italian restaurant in Hillarys. Very busy for a Wednesday night but still had good, prompt service throughout the meal. Really good menu with a great selection of pastas & wood fired pizzas. I had the barramundi special which was a large fillet of barramundi surrounded with prawns, calamari & clams all in an Italian tomato broth. It was a really generous portion & absolutely delicious. My friend had hand made fagottini stuffed with prosciutto & cheese in a sage butter sauce. Also delicious & good size serving. We were too full for dessert but there was a good selection to choose from. The owner/chef had a nice little chat to us on the way out which was a great touch. Will be back for sure to try some of the other pastas & the wood fired pizza 🍕.

Came for a family dinner to celebrate a birthday and it was a solid effort. The menu is just the right size with 8/9 choices for entrees and a little more each for pastas and pizzas. For entree I tried the cheese fondue , this was a favourite with quite a large bowl of cheesy goodness with meat pieces mixed in , it was accompanied by a large dipping bread. For mains I tried to cacciatore pizza which was ok , I found it to be quite soggy in terms of middle and much of the toppings fell off. In all it was a pleasant nite , the service we got from our waitress who I think was the owner was outstanding , she explained everything on the menu and was relaxed waiting for orders. Would return for the fondue alone.
