King & Spoon — Restaurant in Western Australia

It's truly a hidden 💎 gem! Today we celebrated my partner's mum's birthday lunch and I was very impressed.

First impression, they have a very organised space, tidy and welcoming vibes.

The menu is also surprising, with delicious varieties to choose from. The sizes are generous and well presented.

I had the seafood paella, and we ordered the mushrooms and feta bruschetta. We shared the brushetta, and I was impressed that they already cut the brushetta in halves in separate plates, but both garnished and presented nicely. What a superb service. They even asked us whether we needed anything and how our meals were. Some of the well-known established restaurants in the city don't even serve you well. For an inner suburban cafe, King & Spoon has so much to be proud of.

Our meals were fresh, well presented, and have reasonable costs.

I certainly encourage everyone to give this place a go. Amazing cafe!

Weird customer service, I told them I can't have the bread, originally the waitress said no amendments, what restaurant donesnt do minuses? But i was able to have it on the side? Why? im not going to eat it, its a waste, why bother. Also while I was eating the waitress was hovering making it really uncomfortable. Thirdly ordered a decaf coffee, and it was sour, tasted awful. When I told them there was no apology or anything just a "oh ok, I'll let them know". I will not be going back. Edit to reple to shops reply: Didn't drink the coffee, took two sips, your reply is a lie, also I said I didn't need the cream cheese, if its so difficult you said no, and I said can't you just minus the bread? Your answer was no amendments, I ask if you could ask the chef ? You said no. Don't lie, . Also didnt ask for a discount, paid in full. Absolutely loved this gem in Lesmurdie! King and Spoon Café is such a beautiful spot — super cozy, with a spacious seating area and the cutest decor that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The vibe is calm, warm, and welcoming.

The best part? The staff! Seriously some of the nicest and friendliest people I’ve met — they’re sweet, attentive, and genuinely make the experience even better.

I had the scrambled eggs and a veggie burger — both were fresh, tasty, and felt healthy. It’s also great to see that they’re vegan and vegetarian friendly, which is a huge plus these days.
