Door Dash review
My car is in the shop for repair. Yesterday, 29 Nov, I signed up with uber eats. the driver messaged on the app I am here. I called the driver in the app and said you are not In the right place. After a back and forth, the driver decided that he WAS in the right place and left my meal in the WRONG PLACE. I called the restaurant and was instructed to call uber eats. The number I was given was a vendor service number NOT FOR CUSTOMERS. The uber eats service rep refused to speak with me. A CUSTOMER CONTACT PHONE NUMBER DOES NOT EXIST. I was told to go to uber eats online to resolve my problem. Online, I was given a refund. I called the restaurant again and repeated my uber eats order online. I left instructions with my order for the driver to go to the office, get a gate card key and a map to my location. The driver said he was not allowed by uber eats to drive into the caravan park. I told the driver to take the meal back to the restaurant. TODAY, 30 Nov, I tried to call menulog. They have no customer contact line. I called Doordash. Spoke to the Doordash customer rep and explained what you just read. I was informed that Doordash WILL DELIVER TO A CARAVAN PARK. I am a FOODIE. Never heard of Mama Mahoney's American Diner. I expected an AVERAGE BURGER AT BEST. JUST AVERAGE. Noticed the MAKE IT A PHILLY CHEESESTEAK. OKAY, I'LL TRY IT. FAST FORWARD. THE DOORDASH DRIVER APP Gave me a blow by blow update on my order and delivery. I watched the driver proceed to my location. The delivery worked like TEXTBOOK. Now for this AVERAGE BURGER...ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY 7O AND A HALF YEARS ON THIS PLANET. I am an American expat. I have had MANY Philly Cheesesteaks in my life. This Philly Cheesesteak is up there with the BEST OF THEM. AND that tender beef brisket melts in your mouth. Did I just type ...MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH??? And what GREAT QUALITY MEAT! AND THAT BIG MAN BURGER...MMMMMMMMM

Read moreWent for lunch today Ordered The Ruben Sandwich, Philly cheese steak, pulled pork nachos, and the fired potato breakfast (think it’s called the down under). Wow how this place has changed! It use to be the best (in my opinion) American diner in WA. First off, they had no salt- at all. I asked for salt and pepper and the lady behind the counter said they had run out. So I asked if she could take my plate and salt it from the kitchen, she said they had completely run out. That means no salt on our food at all, chips unsalted, potato meal unsalted eggs unsalted and bland. Chips were served cold and gross. We use to Love the Ruben sandwich this was such a disappointment, bread wasn’t toasted properly, not enough sauce/mayo and was dry. Potato brekky cold soggy potatoes it had been sitting a while the melted cheese on top had gone hard. The kid enjoyed his nachos, and the Philly cheese saved the day- toasted bun ✅ tender steak ✅ rich cheese sauce ✅ that’s the only positive about this place definitely not worth the $95 we...
Read moreAwesome American diner style food!!!
I originally heard about Mama’s when I was looking for traditional American style pies, this seemed to be one of the only places to make them in Perth.. but they do so much more. We devoured every last bite of a chicken parmy burger and chicken fried steak, now I was a bit unsure what this was, chicken or beef? But the lovely lady at the counter explained that it is a beef steak, coated and fried in a similar style to fried chicken. Either way, freaking delicious! It came in a very generous serving with fried potatoes, eggs, white gravy and toast, and was so tasty I fell in love at first bite. We all loved the pineapple whip for dessert too, definitely would order it again.
I only have one small negative point, that the young blonde girl serving at the icecream side of the counter seemed a little bit uncomfortable with serving customers and reluctant to be there. Perhaps some more training on customer service...
