Ate here with my family (adult children and one toddler grandchild) on a Sunday, for lunch. Was far too hot to take advantage of the lovely beer garden & alfresco area, so we sat inside, under the air conditioning. The design and cleanliness of the premises was nice, and the young staff were mostly friendly, with the exception of one or two unhappy servers, who you can forgive when working in such warm and uncomfortable conditions.

The food, however, was largely underwhelming, and even terrible in some instances. I order the fried barramundi and chips, and both the chips and fish were overcooked - I ended up giving my mushy Barramundi to my 2yr old grandaughter. My daughter order the paella, and she was unhappy with the equally mushy, overcooked mussels, prawns and calamari, which she couldn't eat, though said the flavour of the rest of the dish was adequate. My son ordered the pork belly, which he enjoyed, and my daughter-in-law a prawn pasta, also well overcooked. The only real stand out dish of the day was the $15.90 special, a roast, which my husband ordered. The meat was tender, moist and delicious, and he cleaned his plate.

The atmosphere is family friendly and the staff seem to accept that a pub with a playground attached means that small children are often loud and boisterous, so at least it's a comfortable place to take a young family. But on the whole, the food wasn't good at all, particularly as you're paying restaurant prices for very, VERY average meals. If I were to go again (and now that Cobblers has opened again in Falcon, I don't think I'll need to), I'd only order the daily special, and be prepared for an...

We made a booking months in advance for 30 people on the 17th of August at 12pm, trusting the venue to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for our event. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When we arrived, there were not enough seats or tables for our group, and nearby tables were already occupied by people who were not part of our function. The area was not properly prepared, and there was no table set up for the platters we had arranged in advance. We had pre-ordered and paid for six platters more than a week before the function. However, when we enquired about them on the day, we were told it would take at least 45 minutes to start preparing them because the staff member who normally manages functions was “sick and forgot.” After waiting an hour, only one platter was brought out, despite our order being for six. During this time, our guests—including children—were left waiting and hungry. When we expressed our frustration, the manager dismissed our concerns and told us that if we were unhappy we could “go elsewhere.” By the time the fifth platter arrived, it was already 2pm and most of our guests had started leaving. The sixth platter never arrived at all. To make matters worse, no plates or cutlery were provided with the food. Despite all of these issues and the impact on our event, no form of apology or compensation was offered. We are deeply disappointed, as we trusted the venue with our booking and our function, only to be let down in multiple ways. This experience has left us with no intention...

We had dinner there tonight. It was not good. We got there at 4:30 after work. We ordered a drink each and sat at a table inside next to fire place. There was only one or two tables there at that time both outside on a Monday. We ordered another round of drinks. Monday night is porterhouse steak night $25 including a pint. But apparently it’s not any old pint. Only selected pints which their blackboard doesn’t specify. So not the pint my husband was drinking but apparently my glass of house white is. So I had porterhouse with pepper sauce and glass of house white and my husband had the pork belly and a pint of his choice. We ordered another round of drinks at the same time. Meanwhile while we were waiting for our meal nobody collected our used drink glasses so my husband took them up to the bar himself. We waited quite a long time for our meals, probably 40 minutes. When our meals arrived my steak had no pepper sauce as ordered and there was only one fork between the two of us and no serviettes. We had to go and ask for these items or get them ourselves. So not a great experience tonight. There were heaps of staff so it wasn’t lack of staff being the problem. Staff delivering food to other tables and not collecting empty glasses from other tables on their way back to the bar I...

My family attended The Peel Alehouse for Mothers Day today, and it was nothing short of perfection. I have been a patron at The Peel Alehouse sporiadically over the space of 4 years and there was a very obvious postive shift in atmosphere since my last visit. It was extremely busy being Mothers Day, however the staff were friendly, thorough and keeping up with the pace with ease. The food came out reasonably quick considering how busy it was, and much to out delight it was all incredibly delicious. The seafood was cooked to absolute perfection! My fiance is a commercial fisherman and seafood is his game -needless to say he was very impressed with the quality and flavour, as we were with all the dishes we ordered. The $10 cocktails being the Saturday special was the icing on the cake, they were top tier. Thank you Peel Alehouse for the very pleasant dining experience. Keep up the great work. We will be back!

I had to express what an amazing Christmas Lunch our family experienced yesterday at Peel Ale House! We were on holiday in Mandurah and I’m glad I thought 3 months ago to look and book somewhere for Christmas Day lunch as only 3 places were actually trading! Peel Ale house only booked 100 placings and it was perfect! The staff were so polite and friendly, and very attentive. The service was fast but not rushed, the food was delicious and it just felt really homely like a Christmas lunch should! The kids enjoyed the Christmas crafts and the Adults enjoyed the free Aperol Spritz! 11/10 for service and food! Thank you for making our Christmas Day special, and we hope you were all able to go home and enjoy the rest of your day with your loved ones too! Oh, and the box of cookies and chocolates that the Lovely Manager handed to us on our departure was just the icing on the Christmas pudding!
