I went in and a few people were waiting for their orders. There were two people frying and one young guy packing. The guy stared at me when i walked in, no hello, no wait a minute nothing. He stared at me and then continued packing. Every now and then he looked up and stared again.

Then the cooks kept turning around and looked at me but never acknowledged me. I waited 5 minutes and no one took my order. It was like I was invisible!!!

The young guy packed all the fish and chips of one lady waiting in the same paper wrap but she wanted it separately. She said so and he opened it and started removing the chips from the bag with his unwashed hands with no gloves or anything!!! Absolutely disgusting!!

When the cook saw him, he didn't say anything, but when he saw that I could see, he quickly told him off and asked him to use something else and they ran around like headless chicken trying to find something. Which means that they always use their unwashed hands when people are not looking!!

More than 5 minutes passed and they never took my order. I left and while leaving but young guy just kept staring at me looking dumbfounded as if he didn't understand what was going on.

It was one of the best fish and chips place in whole of Rockingham, but not anymore. New owners, worse quality.

I have ordered from here a number of times and, every time, the quality of their food and service have been consistent and commendable! They serve the BEST fish and chips, I can attest to that!! Their chips are crispy on the outside and pillowy soft potato on the inside. The batter on their fish is thin, has a good crunch to it and not greasy, and the fish is always white and fleshy. They have an extensive menu with ample options and the prices are very reasonable!

The Manager is very personable and the staff are friendly (I have witnessed a display of chivalry, by one of the young men serving, towards one of the elderly customers, which is refreshing to see and a rare characteristic in this day and age). Currently under new management (Jan 2016) but we still wanted to support a local small business. Absolutely hopping! Had to wait about 40mins for my family meal (fish, chips, squid rings, pineapple fritters, crabsticks and dumplings) but it was incredibly worth it!! Fish melted in the mouth, chips done to perfection... I'm not usually a fan of crabsticks, squid rings or dumplings, but they were absolutely delicious!! Batter wasn't too much/ too thick or oily either.

Only downside was the wait time, but with more experience hopefully management will iron out this issue easily. My recommendation for customers: try calling ahead, allow an extra 10 mins onto quoted pick up time, or ordering before the dinner rush. Good indication of a good food place though, people willing to wait!!
