Port Bouvard Fish Shack — Restaurant in Western Australia

We invited some friends to join us at the Fish Shack for a sunset dinner after hearing good reviews about the fish and chips. I am afraid to say that we will not be going back. We were very disappointed in the lack of basic hygiene by the staff. There was not a glove in sight and seeing staff members putting food into their hands and then carrying it over to put in the containers was very disturbing. Then seeing other staff touching other areas then the food really upset the people that we had invited. If we had seen this ta the beginning we would not have stayed. I am afraid none of the group that we were with will be recommending this place for a meal. They really need to go over all aspects of food handling with their staff before somebody complains to the...

We as a family went and enjoyed the fish and chips at this place 12 months ago so we decided to try again tonight. Unforunately for us we found the batter on the fish was super thick with very little fish to be found inside this thick batter. The fish it self was definitely rather tasteless. There was no choice given for a better quality of fish on the menu. You just get what you are given. For the 4 of us we complained at the time but no refund given as we had picked out the bit of fish that was there to be found leaving the batter. Delightful setting. Very good fish and chips with good service and staff. Ideal spot on a hot night to relax as a family and enjoy the water without costing a fortune. Good value for money and BYO very welcome Saw many groups enjoying it all

So sad..went there last night for my birthday with family. I chose baby calamari. .returned first box as burnt. Was replaced but looked suspiciously like original. Tried to eat but tasted like rubber bands. I returned and $ refunded. Rest of group had plain fish and chips ..again shocking standard. Minimal tasteless fish with HUGE amount of batter and soggy.chips....
