Friday 5/10/18. Thought we would give the new Cut Tavern a go. So 6 of us (3couples) decide to get Uber down to the tavern for dinner. So we ordered our meals. Then finaly after 90 minutes i get my Dozen oysters the oysters were no bigger than a 5cent piece. So fair enough they took them back and refunded the $28. Then they bought my steak out it was ok 5 out of 10 Then my bros pizza came out and wasnt even cooked properly was very plain. We had eaten our dinners before our other two freinds got theres after 2 hours. Then suddenly coz we complaind about the wait time and the poor condition of the meals we were evicted from the cut tavern with no word why we was evicted the bouncer had my bros arm twisted behind his back and marched out the door. The couple whos dinner took 2 hours to get was made to either eat there meals in the car park or get a doogy bag Also we said to the young waitress who was upset its not your fault then all of a sudden the young waitresses mum came over and abused my brother coz her daughter was upset. We asked for the manager but no one came So we was just left in the car park waiting for another uber car. In summing it up we spent around $400 in there We are in our 50s and 60s and just went out for dinner I have give a 1 star for the bouncer understanding what happened. I think it just got to hard to deal with it. So the easyest was out for them Was to evict us

Read moreThere is not a thing wrong with the food or service or wonderful facility at the Cut. BUT....unless it plans to target largely tourist the local Dawesville residents will not go there. It is incredibly expensive to buy a drink. I mean really expensive. All of the locals are talking about it as not viable for us. Please reconsider your target market. We want to get behind you but you have priced alcohol out of the question for a local and yes FREQUENT user. Such a pity as after all the wasted years of this wonderful location. You are going to blow an opportunity to establish a long term viable business by not heeding the local community attitude here. The novelty will wear off and you will have alienated you potential bread and butter clients. I'm not sure the people who have had a once off great experience and will one day return are the people who are living just around the corner and you could see every weekend?!?! We will stay on our waterside balconys, cook our own food and drink our own reasonably priced wine. Good luck I hope your time is not limited it would be a pity....but not a precedent. Seen others in this space go under...atleast your renos, food and service are on point. Cost for a drop in...
Read moreThought we would give it a go as like to support new businesses etc. Went to order food at 2.45 and was told they were no longer taking orders even though they take orders until 3. Was told they had taken a lot of orders, the place was less than half full so I’d hate to see it when busy. What makes things worse we had just ordered drinks and asked about ordering food, took drinks to our table came back to order food and the same lady then told us no more orders. We think we may have had a lucky escape as saw lots of food being sent back to the kitchen and when looking through the kitchen door as we left there were black bags of rubbish spilling over on the floor next to a pile of pizza bases.
The location has a great lookout but the restaurant looks more like a canteen, especially they way it’s set out. I think they need to create a devide from the bar area as it is too big, loud and echos badly maybe a little back ground music would be nice also. I hope they can get over the teething troubles as it has potential if managed properly, but that could be part of...
