$28 for a smash avo with less than a quarter of avocado for two pieces of dry toast, handful of rocket, 3 pieces of feta is an absolute joke. Splash of a weird vinegarette with no dukkah as mentioned on the menu. Waited for nearly an hour and the small slither of avocado i did receive was rotten so I had half a quarter of avocado for the entire dish. You would expect half or nearly a whole avocado for that price. Upon sitting down, we were given dirty water glasses as well. The young man who served us was lovely, but the front girl seating us along with alot of the other staff seemed like they just simple didn't care and didn't want to be there. The owner who we presumed was the one who took our payment did not seem to care about our complaint and offered to comp 1 coffee off a meal close to $70 isn't really acceptable. Such a shame as I live local in walking distance but will not be returning.

It was a wintry day today with blistering winds but it didn’t dampen our experience! The atomosphere inside the cafe was cosy and the food sublime! The service was super friendly and very attentive too. My friend and I made it just in time for the end of the breakfast shift (with delight) and so we ordered bacon and eggs and poached eggs with avocado. I couldn’t go past the ā€œMark Cacaoan ā€œ - the most amazing smoothie I’ve ever tried!! It was a meal in itself - banana, cacao, oats, honey and peanut butter. I was in chocolate heaven!!! There’s something about this little cafe which makes me feel like I’m on holiday somewhere far away. Overlooking the ocean, this place has a chillaxed vibe with patrons all seemingly relaxed and chilled. I can’t wait to come back!!! Thanks heaps to all the staff who made our visit such a treat!

North Beach Deli is a lovely cafe in North Beach with beautiful ocean views. It’s a great spot to have brunch or lunch, and then go for a walk or swim on the beach afterwards. They have a huge brunch menu (6am-2:30pm) with a good variety of vegan options, and all of their dishes are so beautifully presented. I ordered: -Summer Fruits - ($16) a delicious mix of dragonfruit, mango, blueberries and strawberries, crunchy roasted macadamias, with layers of coconut chia pudding and coconut yogurt - such a fun, colourful and summery dish! -Bao buns - ($21 for 3) with crispy tofu, enoki mushrooms, sticky Asian dressing, sriracha, and the coleslaw was piled up in the center of the plate so you can add as much as you wish. Absolutely loved the sauce in this, as well as the crispy tofu.

I visited Spinifex Brewery on 30/12/2024 and had an absolutely amazing experience, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Tommy.

As a recently single father, I was a bit hesitant to enter the bustling premises with a pram—it was my first outing alone with my son after our separation. Initially, I waited to be seated, but with the place being so busy, nobody came. Feeling disheartened, I left.

However, determined to keep my promise to my son of a fish and chips lunch, I decided to return and try again. This time, Tommy greeted us warmly, acknowledging both me and my son, and led us to a table with genuine kindness. I requested a spot where the pram wouldn’t be in anyone’s way, and Tommy went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He found us a perfect table, ensured there was enough room for the pram, and even moved a few items to make our space more comfortable.

Thanks to Tommy’s hospitality and professionalism, I was able to enjoy a delicious beer while my son happily had his fish and chips. It turned out to be a perfect day, and I left feeling truly cared for.

Thank you, Tommy, for your outstanding service—it made all the difference. Spinifex Brewery is lucky to have someone like you...

We decided to try the North Beach Deli after seeing many 5-Star rave reviews. What a disappointment. Nothing was as boasted and gloated about by these reviewers or what one sees on the North Beach Deli website. Our brunch was mediocre and with one exception - their BEEF BURGER and CHIPS. If there ever was a diabolical serving disguised as cuisine, this was it. Starting with the HAND CUT CHIPS – they were stale, overcooked and unpalatable. So, just what’s their big deal about hand cut chips? The BEEF BURGER was one of the worst I have encountered. First off, the truffled aioli was more like flavorless custard, and way too much. The cheese was a processed strip one finds in the budget section of a supermarket, as was the roll. The main ingredient, being the pulled beef, was the worst – a slop of gravy with a few bits of pulled beef and nothing like what they show and tout on their website. Sometimes, all that is required is a simple makeover but in this case, it needs to be aborted as the BEEF BURGER we were served was more like a gravy burger – and a soggy mess. We will...

Had a quick breakfast a few days after it changed from being Spinifex back to North Beach Deli

Sitting out the front has always been lovely, and continues to be

Unfortunately they've dropped standards with food and service - Service was abrupt and not friendly at all

Biggest concern though is the misleading menu - the menu reads "Home Made Hollandaise Sauce" for their eggs benedict, but is absolutely not home made, it's the same packet sauce that coffee club and other chains serve - disappointing as the last breakfast I had when it was Spinifex was absolutely wonderful and everything was home made as advertised. For a restaurant to blatantly lie about their ingredients/menu items is a concern

I left most of my food on the plate, the waitress didn't ask if there was an issue, had zero care factor - I finished my coffee and continued on my way

Won't return any time soon, which is a pity as the location is wonderful, like most of the cafe's along west coast drive, they rely on a good location to keep them busy rather than good service...
