The Artisan Mundaring Bakery and Cafe, is a quaint little eatery in the heart of Mundaring. The atmosphere offers the unique charm of a picturesque country town with the hospitality to match. The store is bustling with locals coming in and out to purchase their fresh bread while professionals, tourists and locals dine in a spacious cafe area that boasts both indoor and outdoor areas. We had a selection of pies and sausage rolls including beef cheese and bacon pie , beef and mushroom pie, classic beef pie and a classic sausage roll. We dined in and the customer service was wonderful and hospitable. Coffee was enjoyable and pies were served warm and fresh. The pastry on top of the pies was delicious and flaky, however the bottom of the pies pastry was a little too thick for my liking, and the ratio of meat to pie was a little inconsistent- the beef cheese and bacon pie was packed with meat, where as the beef and mushroom was a little lacking. There are several other options that looked tasty such as their selection of sandwiches, toasties and cakes, as well as some amazing sounding breads (jalapeño, cheese and chive🤤) and home made family sized lasagnas which we will have to try another time. All in all it was a positive experience in the heart of the hills and definitely an above average experience for a bakery. See...

They didn't want to grab my travel coffee cup as it wasn't cleaned (from my morning coffee earlier). They said it was the Government law to not contaminate their machine. If it's the law, they're the only one to follow it then cause it was the first time I heard about it (and I worked for the government) and I also drink a lot of takeaway coffees being on the road a lot🤷Went to rinse my coffee cup and they said it had to be cleaned in a dishwasher. How the hell do you know if it has been cleaned in a dishwasher. That means I can only use my travel coffee cup once a day unless I've got a dishwasher available (in my car) to clean it?😂Could have gone in your toilet and rinse it from your toilet bowl, you wouldn't have known. Anyway, promoting plastic lining cup (micro plastic) and therefore more waste instead of using common sense. I'll get my coffee somewhere...

We called in here on the way to Mundaring Weir and was just going to pick up something small from the bakery section but when we saw the selection of foods and the nice outdoor seating area we decided to stay. We had a sandwich Edge made up with sourdough bread and ordered a coffee each. Although the coffee and the sandwiches were very nice they were a little bit on the expensive side compared to other places we've visited of similar quality. The only other constructive feedback I could give is that the service also very friendly needs to be a little faster. When ordering out food they were very prompt in taking our orders however we had to wait around 45 minutes for our sandwiches and coffee which is I think a long time to wait even though they were not busy. We did however enjoy sitting outside in the outdoor alfresco reading the newspaper and enjoying...

A mixed bag for this bakery. The service was on point. I pre ordered some of the sourdough bread as I have been doing for years to bring home and for a couple of mates that wanted some and myself of course. On this return trip to home I actually had some spare time ( anyone that knows me will be suprised as I tend to time my travel down to the wire ). So I decided to stay and have some lunch. I had the Caesar salad. It was not the best as they forgot to put the croutons in. Other than that it was awesome. I didn't want to be one of those people who jump up and down as it was a minor slip and they were flat out at the time. I will be back for sure. Two thumbs up. ( sorry for the bad pic of the salad as I was too interested in the runny egg before I took the pic )
