Went in and had brunch today, We ordered the smashed avocado and were very disappointed when our plate came out with just some avocado and two eggs just plonked on the top, nothing else on top we had to go and buy our sides for feta and tomato at $5.50 a pop The Bill came up to over $200.. menu is deceiving as you think the smashed avocado would have tomatoes and greens on the side apparently you can have them on the side at $5.50 a side So your smashed avocado to look like a basic smashed avocado that you would buy from any other cafeteria that would have greens and a couple of pieces of tomato with a little bit of feta will cost you almost 45 dollars from here.. the customer service is not great and when we brought up with who I believe is the owner about the sides she was a little bit standoffish and now I have realized after reading the reviews it's because other people have felt the same way very overpriced, they should do the right thing and actually throw three pieces of feta on top of the smashed to avocado I understand that's small businesses need to make money, But deliberately leaving key ingredients on a avocado smash and knowing that people are going to walk up and shell out another $11 because it's two plain to eat it the way it is presented is really unacceptable as I said money is not an issue but well over $200 for a brunch because of all the sides we had to order.. it's a shame because my family and I always do a Sunday brunch so that's lost revenue to the business because it is little mistakes that restaurants make to make that little bit extra money but end up turning the...

According to their Facebook and Google pages the savoury crumpet is $16 however we were charged $21 so assume the menus are wrong. I ordered the vegetarian savoury crumpet with medley tomatoes (this is two tiny tomatoes - better if they got rid of the lettuce and actually provided more tomatoes) Anyway it arrived and the Halloumi tasted really fatty and greasy like bacon. I went and checked with the girl taking orders if it was vegetarian because it tasted yukky and she said well it's cooked in the bacon fat from the grill for flavour 😲 I said it tasted yukky and she informed me that next time I should ask for the grill to be cleaned. I went and sat back down looking at the $21 breakfast I knew I wouldn't eat and decided I wasn't happy so I went back with the plate of food and asked for a proper vegetarian alternative she suggested poached eggs however I don't eat eggs this way so I settle for the sweet crumpets instead. When she bought it out and slammed it down in front of me with no acknowledgement or apologies I decided to leave this review the food was way below average, not vegetarian and the service was really disappointing they have a cute location but definitely need to work on customer service and probably not a place to go if you have food allergies as cross contamination...

Bit disappointed wife rather than Happy wife. Ordered Lemongrass tea $4.50 and ‘Eggs your way’ $14.50 with Seeded sourdough, rocket, capsicum and tomato relish. I chose poached eggs and added extra avocado ($4), extra halloumi ($4) and extra bacon ($6). (Which is what I usually order most places I eat brekkie.

I was overcharged by $1.20 Sourdough was not seeded? Came with no relish but brought some when asked. Came with no rocket. I asked the waiter could I have some rocket and he said “I think they might be out of rocket” but never went to check 🤷‍♀️ And just walked away as I was saying something else to him 🤦‍♀️ ‘Extra avocado’ was legit 4 thin slivers of avocado. Less than a 1/4 of an avocado. ‘Extra halloumi’ was 3 tiny pieces of halloumi.

‘Extra bacon was nice though and a regular amount for an added extra.

Wasn’t overly busy but had to wait at the counter for a few mins with 3 people behind the counter not acknowledging I was stood there waiting.

Overall the food was nice but way overpriced for what I received and either not exactly what was ordered or a bit on the cheapskate side and service...

I placed an order for the happy wife special, which included soup of the day, a slice of cake, and a regular coffee for $30. The soup of the day was advertised as pumpkin and sweet potato, but upon receipt, it tasted more like tomato soup with no added sugar to balance the acidity. As a chef myself, I was looking forward to a nice lunch with my cousin and niece. When I brought this to the attention of the front of house, they were unsure how to proceed, so the chef came out to speak with me. Unfortunately, the young man was very disrespectful and informed me that the soup was, in fact, tomato and that they had already sold four bowls with no complaints. I reiterated that the board said pumpkin and sweet potato, to which he replied that they must have made an error in naming the special. Fortunately, I am not allergic to tomatoes, but I was disappointed in the way the situation was handled. Eventually, the front of house offered me a toastie and an apology, but I initially declined until my cousin convinced me to accept the offer and take it to go.

Absolutely phenomenal experience here today. I had the brekky sanga, and it was absolutely amazing. It was fresh and crisp, seasoned so well with a yummy home made sauce and the bread was so tasty. My coffee was delicious too. The coffee was heated to perfection and was so smooth to drink and was not bitter in the slightest. Thank you to the barista who made it. Afterwards I had a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. It was presented beautifully, and it tasted even better. The buttercream was rich and silky smooth, but not overly sweet. And the cake itself was moist and lovely flavour, with out being to rich or overly sweet. The raspberry coulis as a garnish was perfectly paired with the cake too. Who ever made that cake, you are a cake magician. Overall an absolutely wonderful meal. 10/10 recommend to anyone asking for a good place to grab a bite to eat or a coffee to enjoy. Thank you for the wonderful experience. ❤
