M a n g r o v e B o a r d w a l k This place is well worth the visit. Lots of parking. Beautiful views. Play park for kids at parking bays with shaded bench to sit. In fact, there are lot of shaded areas/seats along the trail. Not too busy. Behind the park, along the footpath, you’ll find a huge undercover area with lots of seating, gas BBQ facilities and a open grassed area. Be aware that this is the only place you’ll find a bin on this trail. I would recommend more bins along the pathways. I had a cup of coffee with me, which I had to carry the entire way on the walk and back. Had I known I would have finished it before heading off. You’ll hear and see many birds. There are the tiniest of fish in the water (see video). You can opt to not do the boardwalk by following the pathway instead which will lead you to the bridge. If you do the boardwalk you’ll be heading through the bush until you reach the other side where you’ll find a pathway to the long bridge you can see from the highway. This is the busier area. Dogs on-leash are permitted. You’ll see people roller skating, riding bicycles and jogging. You can see Bunbury from this point over the water. Bare in mind that it is quite a long walk if you intend to do the entire boardwalk and bridge.

Absolutely stunning! If you're ever in Bunbury, this is an absolute *must do* experience! There's an amazing kids' playground - integrated into a lookout for the adults - such a great idea! Walking down from there, one can step out onto the mangrove boardwalk. It's obviously been there for a while - and it's amazing!

Nice spot to draw close to nature, walking through listening and seeing birds. Boards are looking worn with some patches covered with metal bits. View was lovely to see the iconic Bunbury tower in the distance. Renovations in the vicinity noted, so looking forward to returning when it is completed.

Very disappointed, this was highlighted as a great bird watching spot, however, the chances of seeing anything on the very short boardwalk are now pretty minimal. I came a few years ago and it was so much bigger, for I know reasons this has now been changed to around 200 metres, saw a heron and a black cormorant and...
