In a word: AWEFUL, I can't begin to express how disapointed i am with the Treasure Palace Chinese Restaurant in Maddington. The menu said 6 dim sims and there was only 4 in the bag which wasnt even greasproof and the timy portion of sauce was not enough to dip 2 let alone 4 and obviously never meant for 6. On top of that they were vege dim sims not a speck of meat in them - Yuk!! The rice from the 'special' fried rice was overcooked, claggy and cold and the large chunks of cold uncooked onion was the only discernable texture present - Yuk again! All in all a dismal performance as far as tbe food goes with dishes loaded with out of season overcooked limp and tasteless vegetables swimming in a weak broth of lukewarm water - Double Yukk! For some reason they are unable (unwilling) to allow seperate billing for dine in or take away orders and the $16 we were charged for a dish we did not order and was not included with our take-away meal anyway represents a massive 20% overcharge which was only returned after a 10 minute wait while a heated debate by staff and/or management went on in the kitchen and then we were offered a container of noodles and soup which we did not order and did not want so was accordingly refused which then sparked a torrent of what can only have been abuse in Chinese which fortunately I do not speak! Even our dog who eats anytning would not eat the large amount of leftovers after we spent a small fortune for not very much at all. Looking at reviews from other diners i cant help but wonder if we have been spoilt by much better Chinese takeaway from quite a few venues closer to home North of the River. Or maybe Sunday is just a really bad day to get takeaways from the Treasure Palace Chinese Restaurant in Maddington. If i could give this place a negative star rating, i would. They just dont seem to have any passion or pride in the food or the venue which is decidedly no palace and as far as treasure goes it must have been buried out...

After the closure of our favourite Chinese restaurant last year, we have tried several other restaurants trying to find one that serves the food we enjoy. None came even close until we visited Treasure Palace Chinese Restaurant tonight! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Cold water was provided with menus as we were seated at our table. Oriental music played softly in the background whilst the lighting and atmosphere provided the perfect setting for what was to be a delicious meal. From the Prawn Cocktail entrees to the Special Fried Rice, Satay Beef and Lemon Chicken - it was hard to find fault. It was all very good. The plate of sliced orange at the end was a lovely touch to complete our meal. Of course, we need to come back to try many more of the menu items before we can say for certain that this place is excellent but from the fast and friendly service, the delicious well presented dishes and the fact that the place was quite busy, I would say we could be onto a winner! Give this place a try and see...
Read moreWent for dinner Monday evening at around 6:30, waitress who looked around 13 pointed out a table at the back. We sat down and proceeded to wait for around 20 minutes while being ignored completely, not even any water offered. A group came in some time after us and was shown to a table then had water brought to them. Finally we'd had enough and left, telling the waitress "don't bother, we've waited too long."She just smiled and said sorry, but was told don't apologise, it's not good enough! Have been going there for years, however don't feel like being ignored again. Even if they were busy, which they weren't, or short staffed, they could have at least had the decency to let us know that there would be a wait. Very disappointing experience, fortunately, the Chinese restaurant that we went to after that welcomed us with open arms and...
