We have now been waiting an hour and 3 minutes for our food. Customer service is no good. We were sitting outside and a waitress threw food into the garden next to us, not even discretely like she threw it past my friend. No warning of how long the wait will be. I would give the food a rating but it still hasn’t arrived. Spent $41 too SO NOT WORTH IT IM SO HUNGRY 😐 Edit: food came 1 hr and 27 minutes after ordering. Steak was chewy and not worth $38 and way too fatty. The sandwich itself was so oily it just felt gross. Southern fried chicken burger just tasted like oil. Only good thing in both meals was the aioli
even though it was runny and half full. Chips were soggy and limp. Ate the food anyway cos we were starving but now feel disgusting.

The Decor was a definite hit with me . Beautiful devils ivy hanging from the ceilings , street art mural on the wall with an urban industrial feel. Breakfast was ok , scrambled eggs, mushroom and goat’s cheese. We both ordered the same . First came out slightly cold and I waited another 5 min for the exact dish. Mushrooms made the dish watery and bread became soggy fast . Coffee was mediocre. A little disappointed that the food didn’t match the cafe vibe. Thumbs up to whoever looks after the plants đŸŒ±..

Travelled a long way to try the highly recommended steak Sanga. Steak sandwich was definitely a 10/10 Price wise was extremely high at $38. Should be more around the $30 mark for a premium steak sandwich. My wife and myself just shared one. Great atmosphere, great location, great vibe. Unfortunately the waitress/barrister forgot our drinks but these things happen.

I want to give feedback about my visit today. I ordered my food but asked clearly several times to have it without bacon. I was told it was no problem.

When the food arrived, it clearly smelled of bacon—whether it was cooked in the same pan or bacon had been put on and removed, I don’t know. I couldn’t eat it. When I raised this, the staff acted confused and didn’t offer an apology, a replacement, or a refund. Even with the owners there, no one took responsibility or tried to resolve it.

It was a disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning.

Thank you for your response, but I still believe the situation wasn’t handled well.

When a customer specifically asks for no bacon and checks multiple times, it usually means there’s a strong reason—whether it’s for health, religious, ethical, or personal reasons. The staff could’ve clarified whether the kitchen could fully accommodate that, especially if the same cooking surface or pan is used. That kind of transparency would have allowed me to choose something else instead of wasting the meal.

Also, telling a customer the plate was just “scraped and cleaned” before reusing it for a no-bacon request is not reassuring—it shows there was contact with bacon in the first place. That’s exactly the issue. Whether you agree or not, a simple apology and understanding would’ve gone a long way, instead of being dismissive or defensive.

When I left the food untouched on the counter and expressed my concern, it would’ve been a good opportunity—as the owner present—to offer a replacement or at least check if something could be done to make it right. Instead, no one asked or acknowledged it, which made the experience even more disappointing.

This isn’t about being difficult—it’s about being respected as a customer who made a clear request...

waited almost an hour and a half for my food and it was so average. also so expensive for what u get. clearly understaffed and the scheduler should take a serious think about putting more workers on each day, especially given that every single customer has to wait over half an hour for their food. it’s unfair to the customers and the waitstaff. ridiculous

edit response: I left a review to share my experience, which included a long wait and average overpriced food. I also made a point to acknowledge the servers, expressing sympathy for how hard they were working under clearly understaffed conditions. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I understand how difficult it can be, and my frustration was never directed at the staff — rather at the poor planning and scheduling that led to the situation.

After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn't a one-off issue, but a recurring problem. The owner's response to my review, felt unnecessarily defensive and even condescending. Being called an "entitled spoilt brat" — despite my patience and kindness to the staff — felt particularly unfair.

The purpose of reviews is to give future customers a realistic idea of what to expect. In this case, they should be prepared for long wait times and average food, and, unfortunately, based on the tone of responses to critical feedback, not the most welcoming customer service from...

Very disappointing dining experience today. Ordered brioche brunch burgers, berry pancakes, a cheeseburger and steak sandwich. The burger Pattie’s were dry, the buns had been over toasted and were burnt, everything was dripping with oil and tasted like the ocean (over seasoned) and the pancakes had what looked like an entire bottle of maple syrup poured on top. I would argue that the “200g” of steak wasn’t even close to 200g, we paid for bacon to be added to the cheeseburger and it came out on the side and the “shallots” are actually brown onion, raw, and in an abundance. All meals were below average and completely over-priced. The service was also very poor, the two front of house staff were not friendly nor helpful, they were actually rude given that we were seated directly opposite the counter where they openly talked about a member at our table who has allergies and had queries regarding items on the menu. There were no glasses available with the bottles of water and when asking for some for our table of 5 we were given 2. The cafe was uninviting, dirty and untidy. Lastly, I would not recommend to families with young children as there is no children’s menu. Needless to say we will not be returning or recommending this cafe. Sadly, when I went to the counter to politely let the staff know how disappointed we were the staff member abruptly handed me the managers...
