Tandoori guru was getting good reviews and the sign outside proclaimed it to be "The curry capital of Australia" so we decided to give it a try. Well, it was some of the better Indian food I have tried in Australia. We had the Madras beef, butter chicken and vegetable korma accompanied by basmati rice and garlic naan. The rice was fluffy and the curries very flavourful and served quickly. The restaurant was quite busy for a Tuesday night but they still seemed to manage the in-house patrons as well as takeout orders well. I got a quick reply: "Yes we can." I asked which dishes, and the reply came: "Please call 86455586." So I called. Which dishes can you do? "I'll check with the chef." Moments later: "Sorry, we don't have any dishes without onion or garlic." Can you prepare something with a day's notice? "No."
