Went out for an impromptu day trip to the Whispering wall, and it got to be close to dinner time, so chose here as it was close and I like country hotel food and atmosphere. I got what I asked for, locals having a good time and a fire in the bar. Dinner we ordered the Porterhouse with mushroom gravy and chips, and also the chicken parmi with pork belly topping. The Porterhouse was cook perfectly, the chips we very good and the gravy I almost wanted to just drink. The gravy was nice and beefy and dark and had the earthy slight mushroom taste and also a bit of onion flavor. For the other meal the chicken parmi was super juicy, and I thought the pork belly would be little bacon like bits, but turns out it was slices of pork belly laid on top, then covered with cheese and bbq sauce under. It was really cooked great and it was a really good size, I barely finished it, used the gravy from the porthouse for the few chips I ate......it was all very good!!!!!! Oh yeah it also had onion rings on tops which were really good also. If I am in the area again and need a "feed" as aussies say, definitely a good stop!

Superb Hotdog with the Lot with' mustard accompanied with a vickers Pink Gin blended with soda plus apple Berry Crumble. Quiet atmosphere not too Many individuals in this 169 year old institution as it has more character. It's my second time there as I previously visited this pub 87 months ago Spotted a bingo Machine with colourful balls near Where we sat. Plus the coat-of-arms painting with a Kangaroo holding the beer in a comical direction. Coffee is avaiLable in the urn. Excellent pub as ore of the best. Spotted a Whitish-grey Joey in the dining room - What a coincidence.

We recently had our wedding reception in the the williamstown hotel function area known as the barn. It was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted for our special day. The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious and plenty of it, the staff are friendly and professional and their service went above and beyond. Everyone who came was thoroughly impressed and we would highly recommend this space for anyone looking to book in their next function.

After reading all the amazing reviews for this place, we drove a 50km round trip to have dinner here, and have come away feeling extremely disappointed. We’re fairly tolerant of bad food, but this was well below average. The kids burger was dry and crusty, and looked as if it had been sitting around for quite a while. The squid and prawn salad looked very nice, but the prawns were the most tasteless I’d ever eaten, as if they’d been soaking in a bucket of water to keep fresh. The dressing on the salad tasted like tartare, if it was a fortnight past it’s use-by date and had had copious amounts of pepper added to try to mask this. The squid in the salad was the saving grace of the dish, and the only part worth eating (once the sauce was wiped off). The scotch fillet was cooked well, and of an average standard for a pub meal. The surf and turf topping, however, was very disappointing, extremely tasteless - might as well have been a splash of weak cream with a sliver of garlic clove added. The prawns in this were also flavourless and watery, and while the salt and pepper squid served as part of this was not too bad also, it really didn’t go well with the other elements on the plate at all. Hopefully we were just there on a well below average night, but we will not be returning to test this theory, and will be recommending that friends do not waste their...

Thank you for your reply to my review below. However YES IT was over 40 mins wait for our lunch and two why would you come out and make one of us change our order as you said you only had one Burra left and when the other table said they did not order that all of a sudden you come out with two for our table. A little convenient!!! Oh and as for the $9.90 menu what was on offer seafood wise? Because I did not see much at all :/ Once again thank you for your reply however I have owned my own business and are fully aware mistake and misfortune happen however I always compensated for the mistake and did not call my clients liars in a round about way ;)

Went there yesterday for lunch. I understand that bad things happen however this was bad. Their fridges weren't working so only seafood available. No lunch deals as advertised so paid full price for fish and a few prawns. It was a LONG wait. Also was told they only had one barra left so one adult would need to change order. So did. Then table next to us meals come out and they say they didn't order Burra so next thing after over 40mins waiting for food both come out with Barramundi!!! Can only guess that we had next tables unwanted mistake. Only thing good was the lady serving was friendly. Definitely not worth the money. Then as we were walking out they had a meat...
