Bangkok Balcony — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

My partner and I got takeout last night and experienced what I can only describe as diabolical levels of food poisoning. We had not seen each other for 2 days and this was our first meal back together. Therefore, we can reasonably conclude the only common thread between us was dinner and the timing was perfectly consistent with food poisoning symptoms (in 2-8 hours). Sweating, fevers, cold and hot flushes, vomiting and unspeakable stomach pain (and of course, the evacuation that comes with that.) I have dined here many times in the past, but after this instance, never again. We will be seeking a food poisoning diagnosis to pursue this further with regulatory bodies and we’d love to hear from management about what may have happened to cause...

This is probably the awesome-st Thai food in wollongong! They were packing up for the day when we showed up, and yet they were so polite and accommodating! We ordered Chilli Basil stir fry with vegetables and tofu, and a Pad See Mao for takeaway. The food was ready in about ten mins! Such quick service and I can't even begin to describe how amazing the food was. Most other Thai places in Wollongong are miserly with using good veggies in Vegegtable stir fries. All you get is heaps of beans! But this place is different. I was pleasantly surprised at how generous the portions were and the food bursting with yummy flavours. Definitely going back again, and recommending to all my friends!...

My favourite Thai restaurant period! I’m from Sydney but whenever I’m down in Wollongong and feeling like Thai, Bangkok Balcony never disappoints.

What I love about this place is the food is always flavoursome, fresh and great value for money. I’ve never had a bad meal or experience here. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is always clean. It does get busy here from time to time and there aren’t much seats inside, so get in early or takeaway is always an option.

My personal favourites are the Bangkok Balcony Noodles, Pad Se Ew and their salads are fantastic!

10/10 for Thai food...
