Dapto Citizens' Bowling Club — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

This is a pretty old worn out old South Coast Bowling Club that needs refurbishment and needs to come into the New Millennium at least! However the friendly service and lovely atmosphere at the club more than makes up for that! We walked in and weren't welcomed By Your Friendly Neighborhood bouncer which was not good for a licensed club. We enjoyed a typical Club type meal in their very small, cramped and crowded bistro. The food was pretty ordinary but unfortunately at a pretty exorbitant price, but about what you expect to pay at a club these days with all these Master Chefs in the kitchen who are justifying their existence and cause the prices to go up so that you can have a pretty arrangement of food on your plate but not necessarily get a good meal! Very Asian oriented they couldn't even cook a T-bone steak which actually could have been the sole of a shoe in Disguise, cooked Medium but still raw at the bone!! I think we'd rather go to...

Mum lives in a Dapto retirement village so took her here for a couple of drinks and some dinner. Ordered drinks at the bar and was told they don’t accept cash. I thought their EFTPOS was down, but they said they’re a cash only club and I could use the ATM machine if I didn’t have cash on me. Problem is, I tap purchases with my phone (can’t use an ATM). Their bistro is exactly the same. Can’t believe they don’t allow their member/visitors to pay with a card and force them to cop an ATM fee. And it can’t be good for security either holding all that cash. Thankfully my 92 year old Mum is also from the cash only era so we were still able to have a meal and a drink. Don’t want to rely have to rely on Mum to pay, so we’ll go somewhere...

An Awesome Club With An Atmosphere To Match. A Bowling Club Who Looks AFTER EVERYONE. Young & The Elderly. Great Bistro With A Choice Of Chinese & Aussie Food. Not To Mention A Pizza Restaurant With Great Deals & Prices. Now For The Bar & Services. It Offers. A Great Range of Beers, Wines, etc WITH PRICES THAT YOU WON'T FIND ELSE - WHERE.. Now For The Sporting Side of The Club.. Obviously Bowls Aplenty For ALL WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE, Young & Again The Elderly.. With A Competitive Angle.. l Must Add - Hard To Get A Win. 😆😆😆 In Ending I Must Add There's A TAB & KENO For The Punters. A Friendly Club With MANAGEMENT & STAFF MEMBERS TO MATCH. I Can't Give Enough Stars To This CLUB....
