Franks 'n Beans — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

A table of 3 of us were firstly not notified of a wait time, which we could see was busy but were not notified of any wait times which were obviously not communicated with staff.

After a short wait we recieved our 3 coffees at different intervals (if 3 people on a table order coffee it should come out together at least) and werent announced to what they were (e.g. large, soy etc) so we ended up with the wrong coffees. Staff were not interested and went to take our table number after knowing we were waiting on food. 45 mimutes later we asked what was going on and were told our meal was up next. Watched 3 more tables get served. Asked for a refund but our meals were right up and no consideration was taken to offer a coffee or even acknowledge our inconvenience. Management failed their staff on this occasion and we will never be back. Do not recommend

Also will give credit to the food being lovely,but 2 meals that consisted of toasted bread, and cooking eggs with everything else...

Horrible. Went to the counter, ordered scrambled eggs on sourdough, sausage and an "extra" large coffee - Total $31.00 While waiting a female comes to my table and says "we don't have any sour cream" I told her I didn't order sour cream, the eggs on sourdough as on the menu. The food came, no sausage, went and asked they said I didn't order sausage (which surprised me as $31 seem alot for eggs, 1 slice of toast and 2 small hasbrowns (coffee deemed Xtra Large was a medium or large anywhere else) Would not have written this, but the eggs were runny and not fully cooked, and neither were the hasbrowns fully cooked. The toast however, was fine. NEVER again will go there. I didn't say anything to staff as they were all young ladies and I'm sure they were doing their best, they didn't set the prices. The cook should learn more or they should ask if you want your eggs runny. Nice...

Our first visit. Place was very busy, you could see all the staff running around. We took the menus and seated ourselves, wasn't sure if that was the norm. No eye contact from any of the staff at that point, at least 4 or 5 walked by us. We looked through the menu n went up to the counter to order. Cos that was what the people at the next table did. Food was excellent. Staff serving the coffee and food were very nice and friendly. Being in hospitality in my past life, I was impressed by how all the staff seemed to be really diligent in their work but a greeting at the beginning would have bumped this visit to a 5-star. Edit: The crispy eggs with mixed mushroom was divine and the spicy scramble packed a punch! YUMMO! Edit 2: Their Angus Burger was...
