I recently visited here which boasts lovely views that can take your breath away. Sadly, my experience was marred by the restaurant's rude staff and their questionable weekend surcharge policy. While the picturesque scenery was a delight, the service left much to be desired.
Upon arrival, we were informed that a 10% surcharge would be added to our bill on weekends. Although I understand the need for such charges during peak times, I couldn't help but question why I was paying an extra 10% when the restaurant had limited staff. The lack of efficiency in service was apparent from the moment we walked in.
We patiently waited for 20 minutes without even having the chance to place our order. Frustrated, we decided to inquire about ordering, only to be met with rudeness from the staff. They curtly informed us that there were many people ahead of us who also hadn't ordered and we would have to wait. This response was disheartening, as it seemed that our time was not valued, and we were left feeling neglected and disregarded.
Regrettably, we had to leave the restaurant without even being able to sample the food or coffee, so I cannot provide an accurate assessment of its quality. It is unfortunate that the combination of limited staff and rude service overshadowed the potential delights of the menu. A well-prepared meal in a scenic environment could have made for a memorable experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
In conclusion, while it may offer stunning views, the presence of rude staff and a questionable surcharge policy greatly detract from the overall dining experience. I hope that the management takes these issues seriously and works towards improving the service quality, ensuring that every guest receives the attention...
Read moreService was good considering that they were understaffed and obviously run off their feet. Iâm not going to blame a restaurant for not having a large team considering the current state of the hospitality industry. Atmosphere was also good, itâs on the waterâs edge, kind of hard to belittle that.
However, the food was bad. Seafood pasta tasted like tinned spaghetti with seafood added. The garlic pizza bread tasted like plain bread with the smallest amount of minced garlic on top. Arancini balls were 100% bought and defrosted. The outer crumbing of the balls looked machine made, perfectly spherical and super fine. They looked kind of like a chicken nuggets. They tasted like macaroni cheese coated in crumbing. That is not arancini. Prosciutto wrapped prawns were also disappointing. They used the smallest amount of prosciutto. Is prosciutto super expensive???
Biggest fail was the mould covering the tops of their table water jugs. I made staff aware and they just brought me out another bottle with mould on it. I draw the line at mould. Do better. If youâre thinking of attending the establishment, check your table water jug before you start drinking the water, I wouldnât want anyone...
Read moreCan't beat the view but the staff were stressed to the max and it was clear to see. It was busy but not overly so. Husband ordered bacon and eggs, got 1.5 poached eggs, small piece of bacon and a piece of sourdough..no butter? I ordered smashed avo and added a side of bacon - we're pretty basic people. No avocado left and I was fine with that, asking for the same minus the avo.. 1 piece of sourdough, 1 small piece of bacon and a heap of rocket and a touch of fetta. Could cope with this however cannot cope with undrinkable coffee.. both our coffees were bitter and cups had oily film over the top of the brew from the dishwasher. Not coffee snobs either. A simple flat white and an extra hot cappuccino but unfortunately left them behind as it was too bitter. Coffee really is a make or break and sadly we won't be back. Bit sad it was a $50 breakfast for 2 in which only the view...
