Cappuccinos and muffin was delicious. This business could do much better with more efficient staff. On the numerous occasions I have visited - the staff are not instilled with the principle of "never go back to the kitchen empty handed." Therefore - dirty plates/cups usually left on numerous tables. Birds are very active in the outdoor area and will swoop down on a table targeting scraps as soon as its vacated - Not a good look and a hygiene issue. Updated 30/4/22 after the owner replied. Reviews are not meant as an attack on a business. Alrhough it is difficult not to take criticism personally - a defensive posture is not helpful. I know what it is like to own a business as I have owned various businesses most of my life. What I have observed at your business cannot be denied - I didn't make it up out of spite! Take the constructive criticism on board. You're local business has the obvious benefit of having no immediate competition - and these minor although obvious operational standards - may have slipped on the occasions I have attended your Cafe. The tables are filthy, the cutlery has dried on bits of food and grease, you have to ask the staff to bring you the cuttlery, they just plonk it on the table in a heap with no care. The food standard is ok, but no consistency. The last time I ordered the Breakfast Burrito, the bottom of it was completely burnt and inedible! Some of the staff are lovely, but there is one wait staff who is absolutely rude when asking a simple request, then proceeds to gossip loudly about your request with other staff, we could hear it all. I have come here and gotten a BLAT multiple times & had it cut in half with absolutely no problem(AND SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM for the kitchen to do such a small request??).. which is why my response I had to the cut being denied was very blunt/shocked as it’s astonishing a cafe should say no to something so small.. The BLAT bread is too hard for the CARDBOARD KNIVE you guys offer for me to cut myself, I cannot physically eat the BLAT without it cut, it’s literally the smallest request for a cafe to be asked, just to cut something in half, it’s laughable at this point.
