Oat & Honey — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

I used to always go here and typically I never have cash and they would charge me $5 on a $4.50 Coffee saying that it’s their surcharge. I looked this up and this is illegal what they are doing because they are only allowed to charge the same rate they get charged on eftpos payments which is 1% equal to $4.55. The amount of times I’ve been rorted by these inconsiderate people and would have spent more money on surcharges then I can remember annoys me because when I asked them about it she was rude and standoffish telling me that their cash prices listed on the board are different to eftpos prices. This is unfair and false advertising. It’s a shame because the coffee is nice but the owner is a rude person who when I pulled her up on her little scheme which is actually illegal as of September last year (google it) she became rude. Rudest customer service ever! After ordering and paying for coffee & treat today - politely ask if I could use the bathroom. The girl at the counter then pointed out at the sign on the counter saying something along the line " we have minimal staff therefore service is disrupted etc.." At that stage I'm like uh okay, she then gave me the key and I again politely asked how to get to the bathroom which she rudely replied " haven't you used our bathroom before?!l" obviously, I haven't hence why I asked for direction. Trying my best at supporting local well how did that go for me?! Terrible - at this rate you'll not only be looking for staff but also customers....

Nice coffee hard working girls. They don't deserve such a low rating especially when they are the first cafe to open in Helensburgh at 5:30am. It's a busy place and my neice loves her frog and pig from their gift shop. More people should send good reviews. People that wrote bad reviews are smacked off their head. Please ask your customer's to write a positive review as this hurts a hard...
