Sam's Crusty Bread Shop — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

The lady serving me was very rude. I repeated my order 3 times, specifying that I DID NOT want pate on my BBQ Pork Roll but wanted it on the Crispy Pork Belly Roll. But she still got it wrong. I didn't realise until another customer pointed it out and said that's not what you asked for, you didn't want pate on the BBQ Pork did you? I then repeated my order again and the server then blamed me for changing my mind. The customer said I was quite clear in what I asked for, said that the server was very rude and she would have just walked out. Then she had the hide to stand there muttering to the other server in part English/part Vietnamese. I ended up with pains in the belly for the rest of the day. There are plenty of other places I'm the area to get pork rolls that offer much better service, value for money and quality. Not to mention the bag of rubbish sitting on the floor in from of the drink fridge. I'll never return here and would definately not recommend this place to...

I've been coming to Sam's for over 15 years now and would happily drive over a hr to get one of their crispy pork rolls as I believed they were one of the best in NSW.. however recently I've noticed their pork rolls have been lacking in portion sizes unless youre lucky enough to get one of the older ladies making it for you I can't justify spending $10 on a roll that is mostly bread.. always disappointing when this happens however this isn't a bad review their ingredients, quality and service has always been superb I just wish the rolls were packed like mama makes them. I recently tried the crispy pork roll here, and I have to say, it’s by far the best I’ve had in Australia so far! The bread itself was perfectly crispy on the outside but soft as a cloud on the inside, creating an incredible contrast in every bite.
