Unanderra Hotel — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

The Unanderra hotel is located just off the Princess Hwy on Central road. There is a free parking lot in front of the hotel and many more street parking along neighbouring streets.

As you approach the entrance, you'll notice that there is an outdoor section for seating on the left at the front. Once inside there is a bar on the left, plenty of tables and chairs inside, a kitchen on the left and a couple of pool tables. A gaming room with pokies is behind frosted glass doors on the right next to the bar. There is also a function room that has a small stage and bar inside. Accompanying the function room is a function menu with good sets.

Both the main menu and function menus are very similar. Sliders, fish bites, slat and pepper calamari, chicken skewers, wraps and arancini balls are all available. The dishes are decent though nothing fancy. It's the usual modern pub fare with nothing special provided in the execution of the dishes on the menu. Adequate at best. There are 2 token salads including a common Ceasar salad.

The interior has been recently renovated and modern, though seems to follow the usual modern pub, community club, and RSL feel; modern yet rather generic. You could be at any of these venues.

The old pub has been renovated!!! Yes, That's right. However, the new owners, Oscars, have made more changes, NO, NOT RENOVATIONS. No, they have not Improved the establishment As Such, If anything, they have Neglected the Basic Upkeep, Especially the Male Toilets, which l find Could Be A Health Issue & Uncomfortable to Use. Unfortunately, that's not all they have changes. Bar Management has had a change also which has led to Poor Leadership & Staff Shortages which has lmpacted the Service. As a result I will be drinking elsewhere. I will return once a week to put my tips into the Footy Competition & receive a Cold VB for my efforts. As per... If you're looking to host a party or event, then stop looking and go no further. We held our engagement party here and it was perfect. The food was the most amazing thing ever (still can't get the taste out of my mind). The atmosphere, facilities and space were amazing, plenty of space even with 70+guests. The night could not be as good as it was without the truly amazing event manager. Massive shout out to Louise, she worked her back off to make it such an amazing night was working behind the scenes to do things we never asked or thought of. She is so on top of it all and has so many resources and decorations to choose from. She is absolutely lovely to work with and truly wouldn't have been the night it was without her.
