Lovells Bakery — Restaurant in Woodside

APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE- We have.previously had good experiences here. However today the customer experience was appalling. We ordered two takeaway coffee's, and waited. Two separate customers came in after us, but got their coffee's before us. When I pointed this out, the lady said the orders had got out of order. This is a very basic requirement for any retail establishments. No real apology, just statement that there was only one of her making the coffee's. She went onto say something else, and when I said I didn't hear what she said, she said it was probably a good thing! Wow it was as though we had done something wrong. When the coffee's were eventually handed over she.said I hope you choke on it. Clearly the lady was having a bad day, but to turn on customers when she was in the wrong - wow! We won't be going back there again. Good place spoilt by one...

SURPRISINGLY very average considering their reputation beginning with the young girl behind the counter that expressed an alarming level of disinterest. The ham salad roll was not too fresh & the ingredients less than generous, incredibly the cans of soft drink were not cold & when I complained she said she had just put them in. You serious, this is lunch time & you restock your fridge now? Very poor effort & attitude. I was still hungry & purchased a chocolate donut, again either not fresh or too refrigerated. Wow, people have given 5 star reviews, but not on this day, I shall presume some customers are easy to please & happy to accept a lowering of the bar. If you're content with mediocrity, then this is the place for you, I shall try my luck...

We've never had a good experience at Lovells Woodside. Vowed we'd never return years ago but made the mistake of dropping in 3 days ago. Three young female staff chatting & carrying on in the kitchen behind the counter while another female did all the serving - hence a long wait. Another customer rolls in & 1 of the 3 girls broke away to serve them - hello? Been standing here for ages!! That girl rejoins her 2 mates to continue the chat. Bloody rude! Finally place our order - a tuna pie, chicken & mushroom pie, matchstick and apple & custard scroll. Drive 35km to a friend's house only to find the tuna pie is a beef pie and there is no custard to be found in the very dry apple scroll.
