Subway — Restaurant in Yamba

If I could leave less stars I would. When I first started going to this subway about 2 yrs ago it was up and down depending on the staff. Towards the end of their recent close it was just BAD BAD BAD all children working with what seemed to be no training and slower than a snail. Such frustration came over me every time I was there to order what should have been a consistent easy takeaway option. I stopped going after realising every experience was going to be beyond bad. The product its self was made so poorly with 0 care, cut wrong and wrapped wrong. I had no idea making a sandwich could go so wrong haha. Anyway store closed I was stoked thinking perhaps something else would start in its place but no it re opened. Thinking it may have reopened under new management I thought I’d give it another crack.. wish I didn’t waist my time. I got there at 8.10pm when the girl working shut the shop up (no note or sign)and walked out right when I got there forcing me to get noodles next door. By the time I collected the noodles the girl was back with a vape she had just purchased.. could she not wait 20 more minutes until closing time to get the vape? My partner went again last night to grab us dinner having yet an again a dismal experience with the girl working. So poorly made and slow, he also told me how the entire time she was complaining about a lady she served earlier that day got angry and walked out. I myself come from a long life in hospitality so always try to give benefit of the doubt but wow this is all too much, I had to leave a review(I have literally never left a review before). Went to yamba subway on Tuesday 1/2/22 approx 3.15 pm. I was served by a pleasant young dark haired girl. She made my 2 subs without any hesitation. They were done very evenly, salad was spread nicely and she obliged my request to wrap separate halves with a smile. Although my experience with this girl was lovely, I write this review to acknowledge the other young fellow with sandy curly hair, and an earring I think, who was also making subs for a phone order, as I was waiting for my subs I watched him making 3 different subs. His meticulous way in which he placed everything in those subs was amazing. He constantly checked the docket to ensure that the customer was getting the right salads. He spread generous amount everything so evenly and with care I was absolutely gobsmacked. Not even a stray piece of carrot or onion over the side. The tomato was spread so evenly, the sauce given a lovely drizzle. When it came time to close that sub I wondered how he’d do it without losing salad products. But he had this amazing technique that didn’t even make that fully loaded sub look squished. I’ve been to a lot of subways before and had subs made that are just slapped together, squashed down, cut and wrapped…..Very below par! However, I must say that those subs this boy made looked ARTISTIC!!!!!!! Kudos to those two young employees. They certainly are a credit to your store. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and told him exactly what I thought of his 2 workers that day. It’s a small gesture of gratitude for which I hope these two get the recognition...

I'm not too sure what all of these reviews about this girl phoebe are about because every time she has served me she has been good and fast at her job and i haven't once had a bad experience with her. If i'm being honest she is the complete opposite of what these reviews are describing. In fact, if we are going to talk about anyone with poor service at subway yamba we should be talking about this girl i'm not sure of her name i believe it's lewanah but she's taller, dark hair, wears glasses. The last time i was in there (which was today) she didn't even say a word and just looked at me and waited for me to tell her what i wanted, and when i said something to her about the way i was treated i got verbally abused by who i believe was her mother as this girl was referring to this woman as "mum". Overall i think the staff at subway are very friendly and good at their jobs BUT these two people i have just left a review about shouldn't be allowed to work in customer...
