The Coffee Club Café - Yeppoon Central — Restaurant in Yeppoon

My wife ordered pancakes with ice cream, whipped cream (these are standard items with their pancakes) and extra strawberries for an extra $3. She initially received one strawberry and no ice cream or whipped cream. I took it back and was interrogated twice as to whether or not I actually ordered the extra strawberries. After they caved in and let me have the strawberries which I ordered and paid for, they gave us another 3 strawberries for the $3(that's generous right?). My breakfast was a bacon and egg roll which was over toasted, and still had oil puddled in the bacon. This breakfast with a coffee and a frappe cost us over 40 dollars. Not worth the drama or the food in my opinion. If a restaurant (or cafe if they prefer to be called) charges such exorbitant prices, they'd want to produce better food, service and maybe some seats that you don't slide off (the padded bench seats have a steep decline). I have given this place a few goes over the years and unfortunately the girls have zero customer service, never smile, are quite rude and very average coffee . The last straw was two weeks ago when I thought I'd give it a go since it had been so long since I had visited, as I was waiting in line for about 5 to 10 minutes I was on the phone HOWEVER as soon as I was next to be served I hung it up IMEDIANTLY when the girl who I think is the manager decided to serve me she said she was going to serve the lady behind me, I said I beg your pardon? She said well u were on the phone! I said I am no longer on the phone she said it was rude? I was NOT on the phone while being served, in the end I left without a drink after being spoken to so poorly, I have never experienced anything like it and I would be devastated if this were my business, I too work in customer service and would sacked on the spot had I spoken to a customer like...

Was excited to eat here since previously my experience was pleasant. However, I was ordering the fruit toast (listed at 6.50)and I was asked if I wanted 1 or 2 slices. To which I replied, does it cost more for 2?Because in my head I’m really hoping 2 slices isn’t more than 6.50. Instead of a polite response I was scoffed at and the person serving me said yes while shaking her head like the question was extremely stupid. The thing is that it was 6.50 for 2 slices and 3.25 for one(3.25 wasn’t listed on the menu).. so I don’t understand why she made me feel so stupid when it wasn’t more expensive than the price listed. Just bad customer service that was annoying. Not hard to be kind to people, especially just from a simple question. The food is very good though, the burgers in particular.
