Went there with my wife and kids. The empty restaurant should have tipped me off, but having small children I’m used to coming before the regular rush. No customers, no waiters and no chef in the open kitchen. After a couple of minutes in the ‘desert’ a host/waiter shows himself, tells us the restaurant is open and shows us a table. Friendly guy - nice to our kids. Orders kids menu bolognese and kids nuggets and furthermore a pasta prawn for my wife and a burger for me. First of all; I know the should be smaller, but 4 nuggets with the size of a 2€ is the smallest i’ve ever seen. 2/6 Bolognese; probably the best on the table but stil not great. 3/6 Pasta; an enormous postion of a doll industrial tasting curry wrapped around a very decent pasta, served with 5 weirdly cut prawns with the shell left on so my wife had to sit with her hands down the curry mess - returning home with yellow fingers. 1/6 The burger; probably the worst burger I’ve had in years. The so called brioche bun was not a brioche and dry as hell. The beef was more like a grey boiled meatballl, the bacon was sloppy and the entire burger was dripping (but not in a good...
Read moreI am afraid that Conny’s was not having their best night at the time we were there. Apparently there was a big party (wedding). Conny’s should have closed for all other guests, but they didn’t. So we sat there with some other guests at other tables. Waiting …
The staff was unable to keep up. It took them ages to get the orders and serve the food.
When the food finally was served … I can only say it was disappointing. This is not how a pizza or a Wiener Schnitzel should look or taste like.
A big plus for the waiter who noticed that 3 out of 4 of our group got their food and that one of us was already waiting for 10 minutes to be served. He tried to make the best of it…
But it was not good enough I’m afraid … next time we are trying a different restaurant….
(No photos of tasty food, I only have a foto of an empty table after an...
Read moreIf I were to rate my individual experience, the rating would be lower, but I was in a group and am trying to be at least a little objective. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the food seems well prepared. There are zero vegan options on the menu, so the waitress herself suggested bruschetta and noted she would ask the kitchen if they can prepare something. They were not preparing anything outside of the menu and even though I specifically asked for bruschetta to be vegan and noted it should not have cheese, it came with cheese on top. It was a large group, but I was the only vegan so it shouldn't have been such a problem to remember it. Being a hurry and a large group (and also because it would probably be wasted if I returned it) , I did not make troubles, but have left...
