Bergstadl Bad Gastein — Restaurant in Bad Gastein

This is probably our favourite tea in Bad Gastein. We came during a pretty busy lunch hour 12:30, so that place was very busy. I must say there isn’t a lot of staff and because the place gets so busy they tend to be slow or forgetful. But when it comes to food this place is amazing. Compared to other restaurants in the area the portions are huge. The quality of the dishes are amazing even when it comes to something simple like fries. The fries were fresh crispy and salty. Furthermore the schnitzel was nice and soft and there is a great variety of vegetarian dishes that aren’t just salads. It is a must to end your meal with their Keiserschmarn that taste fresh, fluffy and deliciously prepared. The views are also great I may add. A must when...

Leider war unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant nicht so positiv, wie wir es uns erhofft hatten. Schon das Aufgeben der Bestellung hat sehr lange gedauert, da das Personal offensichtlich überfordert war und gestresst wirkte. Als das Essen schließlich kam, war es leider kalt – was wirklich schade war, da der Geschmack an sich sehr gut war.

Besonders enttäuschend war, dass beim Spezialgericht (Krautsalat) das Kürbispesto gefehlt hat, obwohl es als wesentliche Zutat auf der Karte stand. Das sollte nicht passieren.

Insgesamt hat das lange Warten und der überforderte Service den eigentlich guten Geschmack des Essens leider überschattet. Hoffentlich war dies am heutigen Tag nur eine Ausnahme und verbessert...
