The Restaurant is embedded in hotel Pulverer. Arrived at 6 (opening time according to Google). Wrong. Staff had a team meeting not ready to seat guests. Mentioning the advertised 6pm opening time, waiter: Such a bad bad Google. This somewhat superficially friendly waiter asked us to come back 15 minutes later after asking if we had a reservation. No. He promised to find a table for two. Cool indeed at -11°C. Returned 30 minutes later. Only guests. Over the course of the evening about 2 more tables got customers seated (Thank you for the effort to make room for us!). Indeed nice atmosphere, nice table, all good. Food is expensive and does not come close to anything what one would expect of a 5 star hotel. Salad buffet (€12.00), though very nice and many choices. Great value. Poached salmon on herb risotto. Tiny amount, Salmon balls completely overcooked, Risotto with porridge cosistency (€12.50, wasted). Main Courses: Wiener Schnitzel (€24.50) nice, potatoes at the side extremely boring. Monk fish on vegetable couscous and tomatoes. The poor monkfish was also overcooked to hardrubber feel, tasteless like the undefined couscous. Maybe this couscous was identical to the risotto.. same structure, neutral taste. 2 sliced cherry tomatoes as heroes made it on the meal description on the menu and rightly so, only tasty component on the plate. Incl. one of the cheapest wines (€38.00) we spent just short of...
Read moreThe gentlemen that waited our table was very friendly and knew at least 3 languages. We immediately got some bread with a selection of home made spreads. Our drinks followed shortly after. He gave us enough time to make our selection from the menu. We never had to wait long for anything we needed. Between courses he courteously asked if we wanted some time until our next course would be brought. 5/5 We ordered the tartar and the vitello tonnato 2015 which were both excellent. They had a nice variety of sides with it that were complementary to the dish. We had the fillet steak and another steak dish with an onion and bacon sauce which I forgot the name of. Both were prepared exactly as requested and again came with lovely sides. Between dishes we had a lovely Salmon tartar amuse. It was not the most fancy menu or selection I've seen but the taste of all we had was impeccable. 5/5 would...
Read moreWe celebrated a birthday here as a party of two. The food was good, with nice à la carte options and a great selection of wines. Service was friendly, but unfortunately, we were seated in a separate room with no other guests, which made the experience feel a bit lonely. Despite being the only ones there, the waiter wasn’t very attentive—we had to pour our own wine (which was placed on a different table), and our aperitif glasses were never cleared. Like in many places in Austria, the three-course meal was served within 40 minutes, making the experience feel rushed rather than the relaxed, leisurely pace we...
