Amazing!! From start to finish everything we touched was great!! The service, impeccable and genuine, the food, delicious with 5 star quality and taste. We’ve eaten at very fine restaurants everywhere we go and the finest in Miami and this place ranks with them easily with the added bonus of small town Austrian charm. A true hidden gem!!! (try the steak or ask the host for a recommendation).

Our day was almost ruined when we had a series of rude and indifferent experiences in Gossl, a nearby town. One lady opened our car door to yell at us when we parked in a private parking spot for 30seconds while trying to find the correct road. Then we were ignored and treated indifferently at two other local restaurants while trying to find a place to eat. A shame as we are on our honeymoon and I was trying to show my wife this small town that I had great memories of when I visited in 2007.

Good thing Schupfer’s Dorfschmiede came to the rescue and offered a truly wonderful time. The host, Stevie, was friendly and really tried to help us with the menu with his English and my very basic German. He made the night really memorable and shows that he genuinely enjoys what he does. The chef was also wonderful and we made sure to give him his proper kudos. We are making it a point to come back the next time we are anywhere...

Austrian cuisine with a nice twist; we were impressed. The menu is tiny, just like the size of the kitchen, but I think that all the items on the menu are brilliantly made, presented and served. Me and my grumpy wife ;-) were pleasantly surprised by the deep flavors and twists this cook gave to these dishes. When entering, mind to close the door gently as an authentic counterweight may slam it behind you. The space including headroom is tiny and gloomy like a cave pub, but so much more authentic, romantic, and relatively cool, which is perfect on hot days. Most of the time, one can sit outside under a wooden shed. I would highly recommend to give this restaurant a try, if not for a nice fresh...

Bestes Lokal im Salzkammergut!

Schupfers Dorfschmiede ist zweifellos das beste Lokal im Salzkammergut. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist einfach unschlagbar. Für nur 83€ bekommt man ein 6-Gänge-Menü, das eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion bietet. Der Koch versteht es meisterhaft, die fünf Geschmäcker zu kombinieren, sodass jeder Gang ein echtes Highlight ist. Verglichen mit Wien, wo ich früher lebte, würde diese Qualität dort das Doppelte kosten. Das Menü umfasst großzügige 10 Teller, einschließlich der Zwischengänge, was das kulinarische Erlebnis noch bereichert.

Exzellenter Service

Obwohl das Personal nur aus einer Person besteht, ist der Service erstklassig. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam, und Sonderwünsche werden nicht nur akzeptiert, sondern gerne als Herausforderung gesehen. Der Koch arbeitet ebenfalls allein, und zusammen schaffen sie es, den Laden so professionell zu führen, als wären sie ein großes Team.

Das Ambiente in Schupfers Dorfschmiede ist hervorragend. Die gemütliche Einrichtung und die liebevoll gesetzten Akzente sorgen dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt und am liebsten gar nicht mehr gehen möchte.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wird hier weit übertroffen. Die Qualität des Essens und des Services steht in keinem Verhältnis zu den moderaten Preisen.

Unvergessliche Zeit

Unser Besuch dauerte fünf Stunden, und wir hätten problemlos noch weitere fünf Stunden dort bleiben können. Jeder Besuch war besser als der vorherige, und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal.
