Restaurant Fischerstadl — Restaurant in Brixen im Thale

Overly-proud hungarian restaurant with high prices and rather poor food. Disappointed!

I went there because where I stayed someone said that it is a must-go place if I want to eat good seafood/fish. Beer was rather 4,5dl instead of 5 (after a good hungarian fashion). The mixed fish plate was very expensive but all the seafood had freezer taste and the fishes were not so flavourful. I concluded that my mother cooks much better trout from deep-frozen ingredients. At least the presentation looked great. As we are hungarian we had a little chat with the owner but he seemed overly-proud with their food and service and was upset that he had to work so much (he had 2 other enterprises if I'm not mistaken, so no wonder). This seemed rather controversial. Anyway, portions are not so big and prices are too much for the value in my opinion. Can't...

Excellent service and the restaurant gives a nice and Cozy vibe. The portions are not that big but the fish was amazing. Very buttery and nicely seasoned. I just wished they gave me more potatoes. I would recommend this place. It's pretty expensive, about 30 dollars for a main course, 5 dollars for a large drink and about 10 dollars...

Good selection of fresh water fish to choose from or have a fish combination. The famous Huber Beer front St Johanne is a valuable as is a selection of Austrian and other European wines. In my opionion the portions of fish are modest for the prices charged. There are other non fish dishes...
