An absolutely beautiful hut with great food! Came here and tried the big breakfast, and wow it was big and varied. Many meats, many cheeses, scrambled eggs, cake, bread, juice, infused water and a delicious hot chocolate with rum, all plated beautifully for a fair price. People working here were also very friendly and helpful. Definitely will return here next time I'm in höchfugen!

Great stop for lunch. Directly located at the ski slope. You can sit outside with beautiful view and a nice panorama. Service are very fast and friendly. The interior of Aar is well chosen. The kitchen is typical Austria and you can taste that is made with passion. Always recommend to stay here.

Bread a bit unhealthy - mould! And it was not free of charge… may happen but should not. Mouldy bread was served because it was so dark in the shelter that they did not noticed that. I noticed this unfortunately after the first bite. I did like this restaurant - up to now.

Wir haben in der Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Hütte unseren Skiurlaub 2017 verbracht. Die Hütte ist klasse, auch wenn sie, wie auf der Internetseite ausgeführt, auf keinen Fall für 8 Personen nutzbar ist. Das eine Zimmer hat die Größe eines Doppelbettes. Für 2 Erwachsene also keinesfalls nutzbar. Was noch nicht in Ordnung ist, ist der ohnehin stramme Preis von 115,00 Euro für die Endreinigung. Trotz des Preises muss man das Haus "sauber" verlassen. Es darf kein Geschirr in der Küche stehen, die Müllsäcke muss man als Gast selbst ca. 300 Meter in einen Holzschuppen tragen und die Asche vom Ofen muss auch entsorgt werden. Da fragt man sich doch, wofür man 115,00 Euro bezahlt wenn man, bis auf das Saugen und Bad Putzen alles selbst machen muss. Das geht meines Erachtens gar nicht!!!
