Gasthaus Goglhof — Restaurant in Fügenberg

I visited this restaurant with my colleagues. It is located at the edge of a hill overlooking the town of Fugen and the part of the Ziller valley. The view is completely mesmerising and eye wrapping.||This restaurant I am told is family managed. This was evident by the way we were welcomed and taken care off by the host. The interiors of the restaurant is well and aesthetically to resemble a Tirolean interior. The restaurant has sufficient tables for smaller and large groups and the seating arrangements are very comfortable. During the peak season, I would recommend that one reserve a table before heading there. ||The food served here is very traditional. We had preordered our menu since we were a large group and went there on a working day. Our menu included two varieties of soups served on to our choice, two full portions of Tirolean meat platter which included smoked pork, roasted beef, barbecued chicken wings, typical Austrian sausages, Semmelknödel dumpling, sauerkraut & Kartoffel salad and to end with a lovely mix of Apfel Strudel and apple in hot caramel. I must say that the food was very delicious. For someone who loves trying out different cuisines, it was a delight for me.||However one word of advice. This restaurant is accessible only if you have a car of your own. Alternatively you can take a taxi from Jenbach or Fugen and drive down here. This could be a little expensive as this place is mostly a tourist destination.||Overall a great place and one could visit here if they are willing to try out some...

Ein absoluter Reinfall! Bereits ab der ersten Minute sind wir uns sehr unwillkommen und unfreundlich behandelt vorgekommen! Unser Tisch wurde von unserer Unterkunft auf 19 Uhr reserviert, worauf wir um kurz vor 19 Uhr im Goglhof erschienen sind. Scheinbar wurde der Tisch kurz vorher an andere Gäste vergeben, was uns schon absolut nicht einleuchtet. Der erste Satz in unsere Richtung lautete: Jetzt sind DIE da! Ja genau, wir waren da- auf die Minute genau! Wir wurden dann zum Tisch gebracht, welcher nur für vier Personen gedeckt war- wir waren zu fünft. Lieblos ein zusätzliches Besteck auf den Tisch geschmissen und los ging’s. Wir bestellten und bekamen nach kurzer Zeit das Essen für unsere kleinste Tochter. Der Rest von uns (unsere beiden anderen Kinder, 13 Jahre und wir) warteten fast EINE weitere geschlagene Stunde bis auf Nachfrage unsererseits endlich das restliche Essen kam! Die Bedienung teilte uns vorher mit, dass Kinder immer zuerst bekämen. Da fragen wir uns, was sind dann unsere anderen Beiden?! Essen war mittelmäßig- mein 33 Euro Steak, welches Medium sein sollte war roh und von Fett durchzogen. Filetsteak? Weit gefehlt! Die Kroketten dazu hart! Aber das wäre nicht mal unser Hauptproblem gewesen. Der Service einfach unterirdisch, kein Nachfragen, ob es geschmeckt hat, kein Entschuldigung, dass das Essen 1 Stunde 15 Minuten gedauert hat, kein Hallo, kein nichts! Stattdessen wurden wir informiert, dass ja alle Gäste gleichzeitig gekommen sind und es deshalb so lange gedauert hat. Welcher Punkt auch nicht vergessen werden darf, ist die Tatsache, dass hinter unserem Tisch das Besteck aus dem Korb der Spülmaschine lautstark ausgeschüttet und sortiert wurde… Sehr gastfreundlich!
