Asiatisches Restaurant ZEN — Restaurant in Gemeinde Mödling

I've eaten from here many times in the past, for takeout and in-person twice but I will never eat there again. Some dishes are pretty good when eating in person... if not for the experience that made me decide to never go again. I ate there in person once with my husband, then a second time with my mother who was visiting me from abroad. The same waitress who was kind when my husband was present, was nasty and even refused to speak properly to my mother and I. The only difference being that this time my english-speaking mother was with me. I spoke german both times but the second time she pretended to not understand me clearly asking her three times for soda zitrone to drink. Her reply was to shake her head at me then return with an English menu slapped down onto the table in front of our faces. I live here and I'm quite clearly understandable and do not have problems being understood by others.

When we first approached the restaurant she overheard us speaking english to each other and rolled her eyes at us. We tried to be good sports and took a seat but the continued attitude was unacceptable. We simply left because why would we give our service to such a disrespectful person? It's the waitress who often dresses verging on inappropriate schoolgirl outfits with fishnet tights and similar styles. I actually live here and would be a frequent customer but I will never be...

tl;dr: The food is actually good, but the delivery service is abysmal.

We have placed an order via lieferservice.at, the estimated time of arrival was 40 minutes. I called after 50 minutes to ask where our food was, since the app said that our food was already delivered. I was ensured that the food was on its way. In addition to that, the, what I assume to be the owner, made a snide remark that we should've called the restaurant directly rather than using lieferservice.at, because "we are having a busy night". I called again at the 1 hour 40 minutes mark, I was told that they made a mistake and didn't even cook the food yet. Even worse, the operator on the other end wasn't even sure what our order was, even though I provided my delivery address.

On the plus side, we received another call from the restaurant shortly after, in which we received an apology and an offer to get the food for free. I rejected the offer, they have lost us as customers. I am sorry, but "we are busy" is not an excuse for this kind of incompetence. Scrolling through the comments, it seems that we are not the first people to have these issues with Zen's...

My place was neatly cleaned when i arived, i was cared for and had my time to take my seat and tab... Got the menue... Nice veriety of food... Asian korean thai... Nice mixture.... I ordered a korean bulgogi and was offered rice or homemade noodles... Took the noodles.... Addtionally i ordered a kim chi salad as pre order and got a mixed platter.. Oh well tasted great so no complaint... Mixture of green wild salads, kimchi, spicy sweet cabbage and soy been salad. The special treat were the mini spring bags with a lovely sweetsour chutneysoy sauce... Waiting for my bulgogi now... By the way sitting outside nice weather nice sun screens... Perfect okok bulgogi was nice :-) didn't have it before the noodles were great and the vegetables were really nice and still crisp... So that was really delicious... I look forward to recommend this place and will visite it again if possible! Prices are decent and service is great, dishes are served stylish and its a place to take...
