A rather sad biker experience.

10,50 € for a cold brew (read: cold coffee) and a slice of cheesecake (read: dry cake) felt overpriced, but fine — it’s Austria, and this place has the aesthetic of Dolores Umbridge’s office. “Radfahren willkommen”, yet no bike stands.

When I tried to pay by card, the waitress rolled her eyes and shook her head. I asked for some water in my bidon before heading back — another shake of the head. She placed my half-empty bottle in front of me and muttered, “No tips and asking for water…” (now in Slovak — I guess she assumed I’d understand, and unfortunately I did).

I usually tip at the end of an experience. This time I went to the toilet to fill my bidon (just 0,75l) for the 2-hour ride back to Bratislava. On my way out, I angrily tossed a 2 € coin on the bar — it even fell to the floor, I must admit. She mumbled again, something along the lines of “this doesn’t happen here, filling water bottles.”

I’ve never had a problem asking for water for my bike anywhere before. She then ran outside after me, refusing the coin and putting it on the table with a final comment. I didn’t know being kind to customers is conditional on getting tipped first.

Only giving 2 stars because the other waiter was kind, smiling, and the place itself is clean and visually pleasant. But the energy from that one waitress genuinely ruined what could have been...

Das Kaffeehaus zu eröffnen war ein Traum der Besitzer; und das merkt man auch. Fröhlich, freundlich und mit höchster Aufmerksamkeit betreut fühlt man sich hier als ob man bei guten Freunden im Wohnzimmer sitzen würde. Mit viel Liebe wurde hier an jedes Detail gedacht und nichts ist hier „gewöhnlich“. Sogar das Wasser ist etwas besonderes. Das Geschirr und die Tassen passen genau zum lockeren und gemütlichen Ambiente. Eine breite Auswahl an Gerichten und Getränken bieten für wirklich jeden Geschmack das richtige. Wer besonderen Wert auf großartigen Kaffee legt muss hier einfach herkommen! Vom Espresso bis zu ausgefallenen Spezialitäten wird hier Kaffeekultur zelebriert und perfekt zubereitet. Die Leidenschaft und Liebe für ihr Lokal teilen die Besitzer mit allen Gästen. Auch bei vollen Plätzen muss niemand lange warten und wird mit einem Lächeln freudig bewirtet. Wenn man gemütlich ein wenig Zeit verbringen möchte und Hunger hat rate ich unbedingt zu einem Frühstuck mit Kaffee und dazu ein herrliches Glas Prosecco! Wer wenig Zeit hat sollte zumindest einen Espresso genießen und vielleicht eine süße Kleinigkeit auf den Weg mitnehmen. Es lohnt sich immer...

Very nice coffee bar, we liked it a lot! The owners are super kind and warmly hosted us! They speak several languages! We sat outside, but inside I experienced also welcoming enteriour and inpeccable cleanness! What was also important for me, they could offer me 3-4 kind of alternative milk!
