Stockerau is a nice enough little town but it is pretty dead and a 14 mile trek from Vienna. Our room was neat and clean, albeit somewhat dark due to poor lighting. The air conditioning worked very well but there was no fridge. The internet was fast and reliable. Our room had a nice balcony and a TV, although none of the 95 channels were British. The beds were comfy.||Breakfast was typically poor European fare, the staff were overwhelmed by the presence of two coachloads of guests and the food was not replenished quickly. The staff were bustlingly efficient and very nice to us, the food served from a small buffet area was excellent, drinks and seating all very good. It's a bit of a maze to negotiate though and our top floor room was reasonably-sized but lacked a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The main downpoints of the room however were the very poor noise insulation from neighbouring rooms and the curiously transparent glass door into the bathroom affording unnecessarily intimate views. Both of which will set off alarm signals from those who find privacy a dear and coveted thing. However we enjoyed our night here and it as a hotel it has much to...
