Restaurant Heinzle — Restaurant in Gemeinde Weißenkirchen in der Wachau

Small portions, food average, service typical Viennqise. Restaurant Heinzle gets 2 stars only because of its scenic location - on the Danube bank, with a nice forest view across. Otherwise, our lunch there was at a normal Heurige quality and exorbitant in prices. We paid for a small cordon bleu (2 recycled pieces or maybe 2 pieces purchased from a supermarket) an exorbitant 15 Euros. The Saibling tasted average too - with a small hint of mud which is rare in this type of fish. On top of it we had to wait 15 minutes for the bill and chase a second waiter for it. Lovely location for dinner outside on the terrace next to the Danube. The food is nice and the fish was very well cooked. Unfortunately the service was very minimal, we were served by the head waiter who took our order and that was it, there was no interaction with us as guests other than what we wanted to eat and drink. There were no follow up questions on how the food was or if anything else was needed - the basics in our experience. Other guests were served by the girls who were interacting with the guests and providing a nice service. Was greated by waiter who laughed at me for not speaking the language when I asked if they had availability for 2. He actually told me to wait a minute opened the door to the kitchen and I could hear them laugh at my question. Was kind of unfortunate and ruined the experience. He sat us down and looked annoyed with our orders and avoided us . We spend a decent amount of money and were super polite , there was a young girl there that was very sweet and spoke English (treated us nicely) I guess they don’t like out of...
