Das Steghaus am Schwarzsee — Restaurant in Kitzbühel

Are you looking for a secluded spot to watch the sunset over a lake outside town🌅? Wrap yourself in a blanket, cuddle with your partner or play ice curling and watch the sun go down over the Black Lake while listening to some relaxing tunes. Meanwhile you can sip a detox herbal tea or any alcoholic beverage you want and nibble on some snacks.

The inside restaurant looks promising with an elegant and stylish design where every detail is taken care of, to make your visit an unforgettable culinary experience.

There is one downside to this beautiful spot. They “only” offer traditional meaty dishes with some vegetarian option (like Cesar salad) If you want to detox on meat or dairy for a while, are a plant-based eater or have a food intolerance, you’ll unfortunately not find much food here (unless they’ll prepare something for you). Hence I’ll give it only 4 stars.🥲

❎ Only one vegan dish on the menu, a vegetable wrap. 🙁 I had the Marone soup (9.50€)🌰, which was delicious but it contained creme. ❎ No option to order healthy side dishes, such as sautéed veggies, crispy Brokkoli or oven roasted potatoes. Something you would expect from a restaurant like...

I can’t judge the food as we couldn’t try it, so one star for that. The atmosphere is great and it’s directly next to the lake which gives a nice vibe, so one star for that. But I didn’t enjoy the service and would give zero stars for that. As we came inside to order some food we waited in front of the bar to get some seat. After some time the waiter came and let us decide where to sit. We chose next the to water. And then we waited and waited and waited and nobody came. While other guests (three different guests) came inside, got the menu and could order food we still waited for the menu. Time: 15 minutes. Observing the service people I could feel they were busy to chat with customers who already got served. So we left without ordering as we disliked...

Früher diente dieses Lokal, den Badenden am Schwarzsee. Die gehobene Gesellschaft aus Österreich und Deutschland mischte sich in verträglicher Dosis unter Einheimische. Man setzte sich dazu. Der eine Rinderfilet im Maßhemd, der andere Vanilleeis mit Badehose. Auch Zeitung lesen, ohne Konsum war normal. Es wurde aus Prinzip nicht reserviert!

Im Zuge der Sanierungsarbeiten, wurde das Haus ohne Rückbaugenehmigung abgerissen. Baustopp. Was folgte, ist ein seelenloser und austauschbarer Neubau mit ganz viel Style und ganz viel modern und ganz wenig Herz! Der Sensor einer Schiebetür erlaubt nun Eintritt! Der Spielplatz wurde im Zuge des Neubaus selbstverständlich nicht neu errichtet, obwohl man auf der Bautafel damit warb.

Schaut her! …schreit es jetzt überall. Meine Uhr, mein neues Kleid, mein Haus, mein Hund, mein Auto. Das sind meine Freunde, das bin ich auf Insta, da waren wir im Urlaub. Wie eine Armee, alle gleich angezogen, alle die gleichen Autos, alle beim gleichen Chirurg.

Das Servicepersonal hat sich der Überheblichkeit ihrer Gäste längst angeglichen.

Absolut absurd! Bei bestem Wetter und angenehmer Wassertemperatur sind alle Tische besetzt und nahezu niemand liegt am Steg. Die Schickeria verdrängt den Einheimischen und den normalen Badegast. Dass man hier ungeniert protzen kann, hat sich anscheinend bis ins letzte deutsche Kleinkaff herumgesprochen. Ganz beliebt sind Hochzeitsgesellschaften zum Fremdschämen.

Nebenan: Nagelneue Sonnenliegen mit nagelneuen Schirmen. Alle leer, keiner da. Das Alpen Hotel hat ein Stück Schwarzsee zum Sperrgebiet gemacht. KEIN ZUTRITT!

Mit lauter Musik, prolligen Kellnern und neureichen Gästen spielt sich dieses Lokal unangenehm dominant in den Vordergrund.
